Hey everyone, I thought I'd share a Paris travel vlog -- follow me as I see the sights and reflect on my life, minimalism, and enjoying the moment! This is just for fun. :)

When I was in high school my French teacher told us that a Parisian woman opts for the best quality clothes she can afford but has very few clothes. Your story about the linen shirt brought that memory back to me even though it was over 50 years ago. Such good advice

Hi! Also recently-ish diagnosed with MS (right before the pandemic hit). For summer, get yourself cooling towels, a cooling hat, a handheld fan, and a cooling vest. The vests are expensive, but you can actually apply for them for free from the MS Society (I think it's that one). The towels and handheld fan have been the most helpful to me. They pack up small but help so much. The Reddit MS community is super helpful too. If you ever want to chat, lmk. It can be really hard and lonely sometimes. Hang in there. 💛
I can tell the two of you were enjoying yourselves (I guess it would be difficult not to). Its been years since I've been to Paris. Your vlog reignited my interest in visiting the city again. Thank you.

This was a lovely video Elin! Andy is a gem and you looked elegant in all your vacation outfits. 👗I was in Paris at age 23 and then at 34 (I am 63 now and it is definitely time to return)

I love this video! I'm so happy for you......you need this so much! My husband's been having a lot of health issues for the last 5 years and it's been so stressful and dealing with the health system here in the US has not been easy! We are planning on moving to Italy because we need to change our lifestyle and it'll be so much more healthier for us! We have a long road to get there but it is our goal. We both feel that we need the experience of travel back in our lives it's been too long! We need that adventure! Thank you for sharing what you're going through. I wonder if you've explored any of the natural approaches..... The body creates health issues and body can heal a lot of it I've learned this with my husband. It takes a lot of research and energy to and what works for your own body but it can really make a huge difference! I wish you the best and I love your channel!

My trip to Europe totally shifted something inside me and I feel a deeper sense of contentment and joy. (And can we talk about the DOORS in Paris!!!! Simply stunning.)

Loved your relaxed video. I’ve been in Paris twice. It’s such a comfortable way of life. The Cluny (Unicorn Tapestries) and the D’Orsay were my favorites, too. I clearly remember a wrinkled, aged pair of Medieval shoes. I felt connected through the 1000 years to whoever walked in them, with feet like mine. So happy for you and Andy.

French was my major in university so I've always wanted to travel to Paris, especially. Fortunately, I got to spend some time in Quebec, which isn't a bad consolation prize! Thank you so much for sharing and I'm glad you and Andy (nice to meet you) had such a lovely time!
Your shopping experience of buying your shirt reminded me of when I was in Japan several years ago and how they wrapped what you bought up like a present. I wrote in my journal on what a treat it was
to have your purchase be honoured like that. It made the whole experience seem so special.
My husband son and I went there for the first time in June. Loved it so much!

I found this surprisingly moving - your history there, and how unsettled you must have been feeling - the mix of emotions came across. I'm glad you sought peace and pleasure at a hard time. I recently left Paris after a few hard years there - it's definitely somewhere that I'm now officially over - but of the places I *did* like, well, you visited most of them! Anyway, good job and thanks for sharing!

Such a fun video! I studied abroad in Paris as a young college student and L'As du Falafel was one f my favorite spots. So fun. New watcher here, I too am re-figuring out life with a new chronic illness diagnosis, and it sounds like we are the same age :)
Thank you for your lovely vlog. It's a beautiful city to visit but I couldn't live there long-term. (Nor at this stage of life in any big city - that's where my journey into simple living has taken me, after spending much of my life in two major European capitals).
I am sorry to hear of your diagnosis. I hope you have the support and mental fortitude to make the adjustments needed. And I hope simple living in its own small way helps with that.
Elin. Thank you for sharing this with us!! At some point in my life, I will make it to that beautiful city. I've been meaning to reach out to you. I very much understand your MS symptoms. About 8 years ago I had the classic MS symptoms. I was scared and had the million dollar workup. The only thing they didn't do was a spinal tap. In the end they diagnosed me with GAD. MS runs in my family. Watching this vlog, I can see the dizziness in your eyes (teary and squinty). Wondering how having less stress while there and being outside helped to minimize your symptoms? Do you wear glasses? That seemed to help me manage my dizziness and get on with life. I SO feel what you are going through and living with those symptoms is not easy. Currently, I get them on and off. Sugar and stress are HUGE triggers for the dizziness. Like, instant. I start feeling it in my eyes and then, BAM, full on misery. What has helped me SO MUCH is watching my diet- limit sugar, processed anything, red meat, dairy, alcohol and caffeine. I also exercise a lot. Like 5 days a week. In the end, I had to stop working bc the stress instantly brings on the symptoms. Have you considered seeing an Alternative Specialist? MS is an autoimmune and those generally come from poor gut health. I saw one and my gut bioses was a disaster. Through diet change and supplements I feel SO MUCH BETTER. Thinking about you Elin. I know this is not easy. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE reach out. I'm here to discuss further. Sending you virtual hugs. Leslie

Im curious do you speak french and if not how were you able to get around, order food, find the sights you wanted to see take a water taxi without speaking french. I guesse since you've been before you had an advantage! I loved hearing your perspective on Paris and how you were savoring every moment!
