The monsters weren't the only super science happening there, that hard drive is 30 year old Soviet tech and it's able to store multiple documents related to the monster project, meaning it's either got more storage space than, like, 1KB, or it's got some really freaking good lossless data compression

The portable hard drive she picks up is really a Minox B miniature spy camera. I've never used one but, I've held them when in the Navy back about 86.
Yup. They're really common, and were never actually used as spy cameras. That was just a fun marketing ploy to help sell them. Even the 1960s and 1970s models are still really common and all of them basically worthless from a collector standpoint, but they make good movie props.

Why not kill everyone and leave her for last or something, instead of binding himself and restricting movement (even though it managed to fend off all the combat trained men, but got knocked out by a backwards head butt smh) I never watched this movie and never will. Way too many flaws. It’s crazy how these monsters can dodge bullets from trained shooters but get defeated by hand to hand/and non projectile weapons combat. Plus the non explanation of the reading mind thing lol. Also, if their mind reading tongue is so weak that a man can bite through it, why wouldn’t they weaken and subdue the person before trying to do that? Smh

They were shooting the unknown monsters in the dark. The monsters skin was durable. Bullets were seen killing the monsters if it penetrated or was a head/mouth shot. Melee was only effective when smashing their heads in. It's not hard to grasp.

So the movie depicts one soldier stealing a locket from another, and the leader steals the hard drive and uses it as a bribe. Yep this is a good factual depiction of our current American military. Wasn't the case when my dad was in Vietnam but it is the case now. Sad State of affairs.
