my favorite place sanur. have stayed at Diwangkara many times. closed and demolished now. haven't been for a couple of years but plan to go this year. Please video walk from Byrds north to new port. Would appreciate it thanks
Oh gosh we just left there a week ago after having four nights at Puri Santrian. It was just so lovely. We have converted friends who only ever used to stay in Legian to Sanur. The Beach cafe at Prama have a beautiful breakfast. Warung Mina on the street behind Puri and to the left was amazing food and the live band at Linga Longa bar across the road were soo good! Love how everything is so quiet and leisurely paced.

I recently visited Sanur and it was all because of you two. I decided to extend my stay there because it was so great. I actually saw you both sitting having breakfast but I was too shy to say hello.

The owner of Puri Santrian used to live in a two story home that was behind the fence on one side of the hotel. That was many years ago though.
It’s a beautiful building from what we can see! Imagine living there!! 😍

Back from two weeks in Bali: Ubud, Sidemen, Amed and Sanur. Liked each place for different reasons. Sanur had nice restaurants, resorts and shops but we didn't find many attractions close by other than the nice walk along the beach. I liked Sanur's laid back vibe but the beach didn't seem great for swimming. Ubud seemed to have more cultural and natural attractions, but the traffic is bad. Found Sanur a bit too hot and humid where Ubud is slightly cooler. Sidemen had the best climate and natural scenery, but it's very quiet up there. Amed had the best swimming and diving if that's your thing, but it's as hot as Sanur and seems oriented to a younger crowd. If I had to choose a place to live long term it would probably be a quieter area outside Ubud
Sounds like a great holiday you had! Pretty good summation of the areas too. We considered living on the outskirts of Ubud too but are always drawn to the water 🤩

I love your video. We are going to Bali for the first time in the summer of 2024, and we come from Denmark. We will be 4 days in Ubud and there after 14 days in Sanure. Just returned to Perth after 2 weeks at Puri Santrian in Club Rooms ..... 4th stay there and love it ...... understand why you love Sanur so much !!!

I would recommend Chic Salon in Jln Danau Tamblingan (across from Besakih Hotel) bc you can do THE WORKS there… haircuts 💇♀️, colour, waxing, lash extensions, manicure and pedicure 😊
I go all over the place- Ayu Spa can do most of that too (at Sindhu beach).
The Nest is very popular also.

Good to see people doing the things that they love to do and trying to help others at the same time, I am coming to Bali next Tuesday with my daughter son-in-law and four grandchildren for three weeks. Unfortunately I have broken my DJI pocket to camera and I remembered that Burke had purchased one in Bali. I agree with you, sanur is the best place in Bali. And this beach section in front of prama is also one of most beautiful there. Along with Duyung and besakih hotel beach. “Geelong is dead for us😂”

The rooms are large! 35m2 for the superior rooms. The Club & Deluxe rooms are larger (approx 49m I think). Just check on bo0king.com

There’s no real facilities to keep children amused & its vibe is really quiet 😉 Prama, right next door, may suit better or Segara Village at Sindhu Beach?

We have never been to Bali before but I’ve been watching your videos and they look stunning. Hubby wants us to visit next month, but my concern is I don’t handle the heat well. I’ve heard that not many restaurants and shops are air conditioned. Is it unbearable heat the entire day please?

Whilst it is quite hot at the moment, there’s plenty of relief to be found! Lots of restaurants offer an air conditioned area & almost all have fans to keep the temperature down! A refreshing pool is essential for a quick dip or a long relaxing float!

No, we don’t! There’s construction around but we see that as a positive!! There must be money around for construction to take place!
They were probably there when they were redoing the path along the beach . I must admit it was terrible at the time but it’s all completed and is better than ever !
Not looking forward to the big shopping, cinema complex currently under construction. I like the small village feel not for it to become another Kuta etc

No. I’m not sure what you’re talking about. In some restaurants you can order via an app (QR code scan showing menu). Or was that in Australia? 🤣
They have a QR code to pay in some places, but you need an Indonesian bank account

What is bad now in the restos in sanur they only have frozen fish for sale before nice fresh seafood cant they get their heads sorted to supply decent fresh fish.

For you, what is the best beachfront hotel in Sanur?
Our favourite is definitely Puri Santrian bc it’s quiet, has a beautiful atmosphere & is pretty much kid free 😉🤩 The rooms are traditional but lovely.
Having said that… best is probably ANDAZ. Hyatt Regency is beautiful too
