Pshenov Timur from En-Dala LLP cultivates around 60,000 hectares of arable land with the help of the AMAZONE Condor tine coulter seed drill. Wheat, flax and barley are grown based on an optimized grain/grass crop rotation process from Williams. Since the area is very dry, leaving the fields fallow for a long time by planting perennial grasses to increase the water capacity of the soil is very relevant.
The AMAZONE Pshenov Timur tine seed drill was particularly convincing not only because of its price, but also because of its very low fuel consumption. The machine also requires only little tractor power, as it is very easy to pull. A major advantage is that the seed drill places the seed up to 10 centimeters deep in the soil and compacts it to a maximum depth of 2.5 centimetres. The rolling is also ideal, since the pressure roller comes immediately after the tine coulter, resulting in a V-shaped sowing structure. As a result, the seed is sheltered from the wind in a small depression and can grow better.
The Condor trailed seed drill works with individually guided ConTeC pro seed coulters and row widths of 25 cm and 31.3 cm/33.3 cm, so that particularly extensive arable farming methods are possible in dry continental regions. With a working width of 12 m and 15 m and its 7,800 l 3-chamber pressure tank, the Condor also offers enormous power.
