Some interesting books for sure…. That Marvel Team-Up #65 is the first appearance of captain Britain in U.S Comics. It’s a book that is slowly growing in value.

yeah i was surprised he missed that , but we cant be an expert in everything , personally I only do Marvel and a few select independant/underground comics and a fair collection of the "nasty comics" that Im not allowed to sell via ebay lol.
It is the mark of a truly interesting CZcams content maker that I have next to zero interest in buying physical copies of old comics but I still always watch James' videos.

Can’t go wrong with the Jim Lee stuff. He did a free signing at our LCS last week. Such a nice guy! Even stayed after hours to make sure everyone got to meet him.
I love odd-ball comics. If Saved by the Bell ends up on a claim sale ill be all over it.

spider-verse 6 isn't so random... i think that book is pretty valuable in a higher grade
Agreed. I have a copy but not slabbed! On Key Collector, a high grade can go for $150..I've seen raw copies go for $100 on Ebay. Loaded with 1st appearances.
He doesn’t remember or know modern values I wouldn’t be surprise if he makes a short on the value of the raw comic
I still don’t believe in over charging for modern stuff that I don’t know so I’ll be listing it super cheap on my claim sales!

I think I’m at like 50 cents for all, now there’s a lot of stuff here that’s fluff which I can just donate but as you can see there’s a lot of good here! I hardly had to haggle at all!
Elvira #1 from Marvel is a book I rarely see anywhere, same with Tales Of The Zombie #1 (and all the early Marvel b/w magazines). Marvel Team-Up #65 isn't random, it's the first appearance of Capt. Britain in a US comic; some good value there. Love seeing all the Marvel Bronze Age horror books. New X-Men #133 is the first appearance of Dusk.
Rambo #1 and Reagan's Raiders must be the two most unexpected comics in the collection.
Really good video James, I love when you go through boxes, it's like being there but without the heavy lifting - saves wear and tear on my back.
I'm an Omnibus collector and reader and I read digitally. Im more reader of stories and characters. But I still watch thus channel!❤

You got em soooo cheap...really makes it easier to sell alot i have now to try and see what i can get for a couple of boxes . I've diamond handing them for a decade with lots of hesitation lately .

What a great spot to stop. I love the Luke Cage book, I had it years ago and sold it for pennies. Then all the sudden they come out with a Netflix series and I’m kicking myself. Just last year I was able to re-acquire a raw book and sent it to CGC and it came back a 7.0. I am very happy to have it back home.

Nice collection. I would have just picked out keys I liked because there was so much in this collection that I just did not care for but if you like it or can resell it then awesome.

That’s a haul! I’m on box 4 so far but dies James mention how he scored this haul. $0.30 a copy is amazing.
It came to about $0.50 per book which is really darn good I must say. There’s a LOTA OF FLUFF in here but as you can see there was plenty of good to offset it!
Heads up on that DEADPOOL CIRCLE CHASE 1. It's a newsstand and worth about triple what direct is worth.
I accidentally already sold it cheap - ah well!

Great video! I would love to hear how you ship your comics. I used to sell a lot of comics and shipping was the hardest part. Just trying to constantly find cardboard pieces to put the books between was a killer.
You just have to bite the bullet and buy the gemini mailers and inserts then charge the customer for shipping.
I use only priority mail - the shipping is 1000000 percent the worst part of this hobby. There's no way to make it fun or any less time beneficial lol
No wonder wife and parents wanted more claim sells :-)...glad to see success in doing what you want to do..I couldn't leave my job security and time with wife although was partner in shop on side in late 1980s and later sold a lot on internet of comics and misc collectibles in late 1990s and 2000s while working long hours at regular job but paced it out...
I move 3 long boxes every week but take in like 5-10 every week lol. I can’t keep up
James when you were going through the slabs you sounded not happy or judgmental. I get what you were saying but maybe owner had real good reasons as a collector for buying or getting them slabbed. But I again I think u were educating us. I get that. I just hope you were happy with the collection. And I enjoyed the video

Looks you got one hell of a deal, 40 boxes , slabs.....4.6k, 15000 books at what you paid is like $3.26 a book with all those slabs random or not you'll make most your $$ just by selling those, you got a fantastic deal

Several of the books you call as “random”, are not. Spider-verse slabbed is not random. Before the new movie, that book was 100+ raw. The Marvel Tales slabbed is first North American intro of Captain Britain. For $4500 you got an amazing deal. Great haul.

I thought you way under paid but I think its closer then i had thought. A lot of modern middling keys. some other odd keys and odd grades. I think you could of paid a little more and still be at below 50% but those are alot of bulk sales and small fry 5-10 dollar sales. A lot of time and effort to make money. i think you will make at least 10-15k usd on it. I don't blame you on the price you paid as time is money and that collection will take a lot of time to get the full amount out of and likely id bulk more of it then you. I think 5k would have worked too. I really do think getting 5K out of some of the slabs and other keys will come fast. It is the next 5-10 k which is the bulk of the work. :/ So yeah at first I thought it was way under paid and it turned out to be maybe a few hundred dollars. Very odd collection.

Why would someone sell comics so cheaply? 15,000 for $4500? Not even 50 cents a comic? 🧐, that’s sad. I got 5,200 and I wouldn’t sell mine for 10,000!
