I’m going back and watching this and really appreciating the skill in which DL answers these questions. Vlad’s line of questioning is obviously tweaked in a way that it makes it possible for you to lay out some pretty crazy info but if you think, and know what you came here to do, like DL...You can give the audience and amazing show while really showing the good side of your character. He killed this interview.

I was a student at Cal State LA working part time for the LA Times in 1988-91. I remember DL was a super successful telemarketing manager at La Times . He was secretly moon lighting at night doing stand up. Always been a hustler

I have watched all parts of this interview. I now have a much better appreciation and respect for D L Hughley.
It’s crazy because I know someone who knew him first hand back in his banging days. And they said DL was no punk and was with the shit. Took fades and all. But to hear him speak on not being able to murder and take away love ones from people I’m glad he stayed true to himself. So many who grow up in the hood find that out when it’s too late and they’ve already committed the unspeakable crime. I got so much respect for DL!
