I actually really enjoyed this story. I think because I too was already judging your character watching this for the first time. Genuinely surprised and almost made me teary-eyed because I felt that 360 treatment, how we respond to people. that's what I took from this, the way we talk to each other. nd I have been having a very sharp tongue lately. Dise I’m so glad you are a child of God and it shows in all that you do, by God’s grace we stand to always be uplifted by the word and by the faith, trust and knowledge that the Lord is on your side.
How weird, of all days TODAY, my boyfriend and I were talking about this topic you’re engaging us in. Government officials especially in customer service. He also woke up early this morning to get to home affairs. The queues were so long he decided to drive back home. We were talking about the inconvenience, rudeness, being ‘offline’, lack of empathy etc that is constantly on display. It’s disappointing that this day in age we still talk about lack of respect and horrific customer service from these officials. It’s commendable that Dise kept his cool. One thing for sure when I go to home affairs for license or other things, I bring everything ( copies, photos, proof of address, certified copies of this and that, pen, notepad, etc). And most importantly, PRAYER!!! Pray before leaving the house, whilst on the road and when I get there so that I don’t encounter people like the one Dise met. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 Thank you for the vlog guys #ReGodise always entertaining.

Most encounters with government officials always end in tears. I remember one nurse at Hillbrow antenatal clinic was so rude to me I ended up crying in front of everyone. It was so embarrassing. So sorry about your experience, Dise.

Tjere people who work at the traffic centers are the most rude people ever no offense to people who are kind. Kodwa they will make you angry, nkare ba nale anger and I always keep my cool mara it hurts because you want to say something but you cant cos Modimo 😹😍.

Remembering the time I was at the Zimbabwean border, my goodness the lady was rude🙄. I really don't get why are people like this, why do we choose careers or jobs that includes working with people if you are unable to work with people.
From a teacher's point of view, kids will test you to your limits but because I love what I'm doing, I try to keep my cool and it really works. Thank for sharing much appreciated🙏🏾💕.
Sad thing is most people working at the DLTCs (even this side in CT) don’t offer good services, and are not understanding at all. I recently had a bad experience as well while renewing the car disc. From security guard to the actual person assisting me, it was as if I am going to ask for a grant or something yet im trying to pay to be good with the law.

It reminds me of going to home affairs to renew my boys passports. It took me the whole day with hunger boys and dealing with those people.I even spoke to the manager and it got worse cause I work at the airport. I was told I think I'm better cause I'm air hostess.

BOTLE DUBE Next time you can renew your passport at Standard Bank Simmonds street(The head offices I think in Johannesburg) they work faster and there’s never queues...Just book online first before you go. It also takes about 5-7 days to come out. Hope it helps for next time ❤️🙏🏾
I feel you guys yoh and you get annoyed instantly for having received such a service, at times you feel like retaliating because wow some people can be rude hey and then you ask yourself what is it that you have done or what is bothering this person that he/she even brings it to work. I suppose that statement was suitable at that moment because it shows that it brought some twist in the behaviour and he also realised that you can't treat people like that especially when you're a christian. May the Holy Spirit be with us all when we're faced with such situations so that we don't retaliate but we become the better people and find a way of making the person realise their deeds without hurting them.

This reminds of the rude attitude I received when I went to write my learners test a couple of years back. I was five minutes late for the test and the learners had just been taken into the “test room” ... I was told to go back home , and home was an hour away 😭. But, that didn’t deter me, I went back the following day to book for another test and eventually took it and passed at first attempt 🙂. Government employees in general have an attitude problem, perhaps entitlement even .

Unfortunately Majority of testing centres in SA are like that, I wish something could be done!
I'm a calm and jolly person and if I get ill treated, like my mom as well, I call my dad.. I struggle to reiterate and my home is in a different province so usually if someone treats me bad I give up and call my dad. When it comes to sorting things out even on the phone he's capable. I remember at Res this one person used to give me special treatment the entire year because of the email my dad sent. Still don't know what it said but it worked 🤣😂

Awesome guys, thanks for sharing your story - and your channel is beautiful too. I had a very similar experience, but with me I couldn't find a slot for two weeks straight and then I decided to take leave and go renew it in Rustenburg. So I actually had everything prepared including that form you fill, which I printed filled. I spend the whole day there (from 6:00) and when it was my turn to do the eye test and stuff (around 14:30), they turned me back because my proof of residence was over 3 months old! Just that! (again, its not there on the government licencing website. Nothing!). I even had a 1 month old work permit with the same address on me to show them, but nah, they just didn't care! Nothing! "O tle le the latest proof, neh abuti" just like that! I nearly lost it but I just simply kept my cool, walked out, and drove home because I always expect the worst from these government department. I honestly didn't even have the energy to talk to anyone at all. Day gone!

I went to home affairs to renew my passport. The first time I went there, the system was offline, and then Eskom did what it's good at! I went back home. Second time I go, it's a long a** queue I was number 113 guys😭😭 the staff members walk and work slowly. Some if them went to lunch seeing gore line e matha outside. Eventually I got called and I had to queue again for payments , I arrived there at 09h00a.m and left at 15h00.South African departments are really irritating! And they are rude vele! Always . I still have a green ID (I'm 18 btw😹😹) book but I'm not going to renew it anytime soon bc of the bad experience ...

Absolutely feel your pain went through the same 2 weeks ago. I went there wearing my calmest and most polite face cause I know they are rude unprovoked. But true to form they were rude at the eye testing and pay point which is where I couldn’t deal. I was there for 4 hours, they failed me on my eye test so I had to drive off to an optometrist which proved that there’s nothing wrong with my eyes. But they were RUDE unprovoked not only to me but almost everyone. Also didn’t feel safe as they weren’t sanitizing so they guy was getting annoyed cause I kept sanitizing at the exchange of ID/electronic signing pad etc saying I was wasting his time. Anyway it’s done now. Thanks for the encouraging message
It such an unpleasant experience to go through but God always has lessons for us to learn. We just need to choose to see His grace. 🙏🏽
