don't bring fresh fruits, meats (cooked or raw), dairy, even a sandwich, sushi, burger or even leftover airplane foods (apart from biscuits and candies)...... also there are bins you can throw away any foods before you go through custom...
Trudon has a shop in Paddington, Sydney. I use their wax melt over their defuser. For defuser, I use an Australian brand called iKou, which I think is the best. I also like Dusk's Ylang Ylang Sandlewood candles.
You are right! Australian Customs is not an unit you can fool around. There was once that back in the days when they were not familiar with dried scallops, I declared that and they still threw it away. Probably as you said now, they have seen more of those, so they are more relax on dried seafood. For Australian Customs, always declare than sorry.

I would put all the foods in one suitcase that is easier for custom officer to check and less messy for me to put everything back afterwards.
I think 幸福傷風素has active chemicals prohibited from Australian drugs authority. I had experienced that the custom officer disposed all the medicines while mailed them via flight to Sydney Australia 🇦🇺 😅

聽講澳洲海關入境好嚴。我之前跟團去澳洲。出發前領隊已經再三提醒有乜嘢唔入得境，有乜要申報。因為一人被卡關可以連累成團人
同一班機應該有三個旅行團。到我哋落機過海關，排我地前面有兩個阿姨（見佢哋pin咗另一個旅行社嘅團章）可能英文唔係太好，話驚俾人問長問短。輪到我哋嗰陣，到我同老公一齊過，兩本passport連visa一齊隊俾過關員，佢笑笑口問我地係唔係嚟honey moon ,之後一句Welcome to Australia. 咁就輕鬆過關

Australian Border Force and customs have a record for each person, if you have been well behaving in previous trips (i.e. full compliance in the past), they usually will ask you and sometimes let you walk pass even if you tell them you have food inside the bag. I know the deal (I will tell them what I have and I know what I can and cannot bring), and nowadays I can just tell them what food I have and they will let me walk through without opening the bag.

二十多年前家人和小孩去sydney時帶了一盒奶粉，海關很hesitate, 左問右問，最後因為盒奶粉是澳洲制造，所以最後带咗入境。

跟團嗰陣領隊講咗單真人真事。以前會有跟團去運毒。話說兩邊警方收到消息有人隨團出發運毒。領隊帶團出發時有兩個警察嚟問某某人報到咗未，之後就拉咗嗰個人。領隊響上報公司後就如常帶團出發。去到澳洲，又有人嚟搵呢個領隊問某某人有冇嚟到，領隊話冇呀，响香港俾人拉咗啦。之後嗰個人話要召集全團人，所有人都要開喼檢查，包括領隊。係直情開咗一條隊專門俾嗰一團人
