Yay!! Running the sawmill. The beam you sold sure looked nice. Imagine it stained and set in place, oh yeah. A good place to put sawdust to use. Find a couple of neighbors or friends to come get slabs and firewood, and you're all set! You've completed another day's experience on the mill. Keep that up, and you'll graduate from amateur to a professional sawyer. Mike has connections to guys with kilns. Cut you some nice lumber, have it kiln dried, and make Donna or your kids some nice fancy headboards, dressers, chests of drawers, end tables, etc. Endless possibilities! Sure is nice to own a sawmill!! I love watching TSH in action, putting art into concrete, but hey, mixing it up a little now and then just gives the channel more real life to enjoy. We fans can always use more good stuff. With so much bad going on now, you are a nice blessing for us. Can't thank you enough. 👍❤️🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸

Good morning Tom, Little late watching, but it's Sat. morning so I'll spend a little time on utube. Picked up a couple inches of snow overnight so cleaning up the flower beds will have to wait til next week 😊. Syltill a month away from aeration season beginning and maintenence was done last fall. It's amazing how much scrap you get off a log plus sawdust, short cuts and just in general junk. A small suggestion I'll make and that's all it's going to be. I've been into lumber and woodworking over 45 years. Please don't be one of these people that become a pack rat with all of the short cuts or the "unique" boards unless you have an order or a customer WANTING it cut. Otherwise you're going to have a pile of supposedly gorgeous lumber in the way and you either end up burning it or hauling it away to the landfill. Too many sawmill guys cutting lumber on utube that take a cut, throw water and then go off on a tirate describing all the unique characteristics and beauty in each board. Go back in a year to their place and look at that pile of "unique and gorgeous" lumber and it's piled to the sky and has taken over their yard😢😢. Are you far enough out of town that you can open burn?? If not, get a big bag of hot dogs and marshmallows and enjoy your cookout and burn some of the waste. Believe me that you'll get more than you have any possible use for. The sawdust can be mixed into soil for gardeners or used for bedding as long as it doesn't contain walnut as you advised the viewers early in your video. Start a compost pile if you have need. Sell a pickup load of slab wood for 20 bucks. All suggestions and nothing more. I do thank you for dragging me along for your videos. Very much enjoy each one. Ron

Good work from concrete to saw milling, ps don't forget to use you debarker that will save on damage to blades if any rock are stuck in the bark.

Lumber & beam are superb Tom!!!! One thing I would of done, and it's no big deal is, when you were squaring the end of beam & cutting to length, is bring the beam up to waist high. Easier on the back. Keep up the great work and more sawmilling!!! Lol Have a wonderful day

If you put a second valve in the lube line for the saw blade you can set the flow with it. Then just shut off the valve in the tank. That way the flow is always set.

I love your channel. Something to help with the water for the saw wound be to put a solenoid valve in line so when you put the saw in the forward position it would open and only give you water when the saw is moving forward

Nice video, do you have the storage room to store firewood, for sale. Mike Morgan does really well on firewood sales.
If you do , and can and want to fool with it, you run out of logs, you can buy a truck of firewood "poles" Mike calls it. If your interested get with Mike. May work out for a good winter time income.. May or may not be for you :) That saw mill is great...

Tom just wondering why you don't use the little circular saw blade that cleans the bark on the leading edge of the mills blade? Looks like it has it on that machine. That is still the machine you got from Mike didn't you? Tom I laughed at the I can't eat that much pizza. Great looking oak and boy here in Ca. that is worth a ton of dollars. Quarter sawn oak is beautiful. I have always wanted a mill but just to beat up to handle the logs as I don't have the excavator or the back and body. Love watching the mill work.

Lol Bro an I got greedy “ 1 “ time an? Takes the tip of the blade off faster than you can snap you fingers!🫣🤦‍♂️ it’s just not worth it . We have access to popular an we cut our form boards out in the winter for summer pores. Since The Farm house , his house an my house and shop all burn wood. We have no scraps left to get rid of. When done milling I take forks a skid loader pick pile up an bro takes the chain saw a cuts to length. 😂😂 save on your back not bending over ❤. Tuesday morning we cut one from fence row. Talk about a log in stress? When the mill finished the cut? Top slab was twisted off side 3/4 the diameter 🤦‍♂️ she was a stress tree got about 1/2 log usable straight lumber. We power wash ours before we stack them in the log pile. Don’t have the pre cut attachment so washing is a must . Nice pile of lumber
