Having spent over 50 years in consumer electronics repairs, experience tells me that that
the lifespan of any display is reduced by runing them with the factory settings, these are meant to
impress you when first turning on a new TV, but do it no favours in the long term.
OLED displays are more expensive to repair if the panel fails, you can't take it apart and just replace
any burned out backlights as you can with LED panels.
As advised keep the settings down or your new TV will have a short life, this is what still keeps me in a job!
