What a family! Very underrated in Pakistan due to less appreciation for these kind of adventures in the culture. Can't imagine a desi family travelling like you guys are doing. Subscribed few years when you were leaving AU and had few subscribers. And you are still travelling!

While working in Malaysia for almost 4 years, I visited Singapore twice on day trips with my family. I must say that both visits were horrible due to same reasons that you faced on arrival in Singapore. Bus driver short tempered, immigration staff discourteous, taxi driver bully and demanded extra money, sales staff angry, even public transport conductor ready to fight. And also warnings and penalties exhibited everywhere made us uneasy. I was extremely disappointed by conduct of everyone while on short visit to Singapore. Whereas I worked in Malaysia as doctor for many years and I enjoyed every moment of my stay in Malaysia. Malays are such lovely people.
Perhaps due to pressure..stress or hectic life in singapore..but it is not an excuse. We mlysian mlay know the attitude..high handed fashion of chinese in singapore. Different. We muslims mostly respect others..we cannot be disrespectful to anyone..even kids
I am sure they are more courteous towards the Westerners.
True indeed....... same public transport bus where I was challenged by conductor in some local language for unknown reason and all local passangers remained indifferent; when a white European couple boarded along with a maid and an infant and stroller, all of them were offered seats by local passengers.

Malaysia and Singapore are two very different countries. In Malaysia, life moves at a decently slow and relaxed pace. The moment you are on the other side of the causeway, you can feel the difference in the energy. People are always in a hurry in Singapore.

Amazing ... Magnificent Views and Composition... I was there celebrating My Husbands Birthday.

· Night Safari / Zoo (next to each other)

· Mount Faber (Canopy level walkways) - take cable car to Sentosa.

For that amount of cash for a night in the hotel, you can get a whole month renting in a much better room (luxury suite even at 5 stars accommodation) in any cities in Malaysia.
