It makes me very happy and surprised to see that they brought back the classic nargacuga gunner g rank set and made it the main set, I really wasn't expecting that one. The male armor sets are insane looking, though. Zinogre's set got a massive glowup and it was already cool looking to begin with.
Ummm they brought back the g rank blademaster armor for Nargacuga not the gunner set and how exactly did Zinogre X get a glow up? It’s literally the same as it was from 4U/GU.
Female armor kind of pales in comparison to the male especially the zinogre set. It looks like they made the female sets from the scraps after they made the male sets to be honest.

Speaking of Rajang's armor, I dunno how they made his low rank head gear for the female hunter looks weird. It was my go to head gear in GU, it was damn adorable seeing the pony sway left and right and how fluffy and puffy the hair looks in the older gen. But now in the newer Gen I felt something's different and I can't quite put a finger on it what went wrong, I think it's how the newer version aren't as thick 'mane' like in the previous Gen and more like actual 'hair' and thinner instead. Which is a damn shame...

I swear monster hunter is one of the few games that makes me never want to play as a female character. I'm pretty happy with Sunbreak armor though. It looks a lot closer to the male armor on average. The Guild Palace and Snowshear look sooo cool

Just keep doing the story, around MR4 or MR5 a palico beside the ship will tell you that Utsushi wants to talk to you, then head to Kamura and talk to him, he will give you the new Silkbind moves.

prolly alone on that one, but I still prefer the designs from world/iceborn over rise/sunbreak. the fatalis armor (both alpha and beta) is easily one of my fav armor designs in all of monster hunter.
i agree with you, i think world/iceborne has better armor designs, but to be fair world/iceborne had a lot of updates, and rise/subreak it's just beginning so im sure there will be more armor sets, i just hope that among these updates we get a deviljho which is one of my favorite monsters and armor designs
I honestly don’t like any of these. I’ve been sort of disappointed with most the armor of the newer gen, look like some crazy mech or over the top Naruto villain, or a power ranger. The sets from second gen (Unite in particular) imo were the best, back when they had gunner armor too. So many options. This all just seems over the top and goofy idk. For once I’d like some beautiful steel plate armors, or like some medieval style realistic looks, everything is just so cartoony.
"Best Looking"? Have we playing the same game? Most armor sucked visually. Especially the ones for the 3 Rulers. I was sooo disapointed on how boring the Lunagaro Armor looked. And the Masterrank Upgrades for the Armors have been pending between meh to disaster. And they didnt even need to make 2 sets per Monster.
Ya know, the thing that bugs me the most here is that these are all master rank armor....and most of them look EXACTLY like their low/high rank counter parts...I was REALLY excites when the iceborne trailer launched because they showed new variants of existing armor that made me want to kill them all over again. Not here, there's absolutely zero reason to do this other than kill harder monsters and get stronger. Sure you have a few new sets but meh.

Complete the followers quests (marked by purple).
