refreshing on the basics is always handy... I get to the point where I handle end-game big boys without too much trouble, but some of the faster early monsters can mess me up a bit because I forgot their patterns (also because Lagombi won't stay f**king still.)

Late to the show here and just picked up this fantastic game for the first time but it is very overwhelming just understanding some of the core basics. Most beginner YT guides breeze right past all the stuff he covered here like hiring another buddy, how to upgrade equipment and traversing the map. My first quest to get those herbs took me about 40 minute because I couldn't effectively climb the hills with those bugs. Something simple like loading out your pouch was something I needed to know. I'm an experienced gamer and have taken on all kinds of games like the Souls franchise but this game requires some time and brain training to get up to speed so this video is a must see. Thx!

Thank you thank you thank you. I’ve bounced off this game 4 times now because I just get lost in the tutorials or walls of text. Sometimes I just got turned around or didn’t know where to practice.
This is exactly what I was looking for. None of my gaming friends play this, so I needed a virtual buddy. You’re doing good work here, my man.

Thanks so much for putting this together! I was super intimidated by the series, but playing along with your video really helped me get a good feel for the game. Right now I'm working with the lance and I love it! Again, thanks so much! I would have never even tried to play without this video...prior to watching I was so confused and overwhelmed by the game. Thank you for this guide. I bounced off of MHW hard when I first got it as a new player to the franchise. It was opaque, combat felt clunky and I got really frustrated with not getting anywhere with it. Picked Rise up on impulse due to being bored of my games on switch and your guide has helped me "get the game" finally. Can't stop playing it now. I will go back to play MHW when I get done with Rise but thank you so much for flattening the learning curve for us absolute noobs.
