Olaudah Equiano describes his enslavement

In this abridged account, we learn of Equiano’s capture at the age of 11, his months-long journey to the slave ship anchored at the coast, and his heartbreaking separation from his sister. Throughout the autobiography, Equiano emphasises the humanity of African people to inform and strengthen the abolitionist cause.
