It makes sense though. Everyone knows that the Turbo S is the fastest version of that Porsche model. So they'll stick with it. Computers had turbo buttons for a long time. I bet you that most non-car people think that turbo just means faster. So it makes perfect sense.

if you ever get the chance to drive a Tesla model s P90 or P100, the engines naturally make a whining noise like that, and when put in ludicrous mode its even more apparent. I know everyone says that electrics are silent, but they are really not lol
Well EV makers should take advantage of the tuneability of the sound and be creative, but for sports cars I don't think the gasoline engine can ever be beaten in terms of a beautiful, characterful sound

Love the sound. We better start seeing a highly competitive market of sound engineers designing these interesting sounds to convey the emotion and brand to the driving experience of electric cars. They need to make up for what they're stealing from us with the neutering and eventual death of internal combustion engines.

Tested the Porsche Taycan Turbo S at the ATL Excellence Center yesterday - unbelievably awesome when pushed really hard. Launch control is definitely whiplash inducing!
This and the Audi e-tron are starting to actually give me some hope in the electric car future we’re heading into.👌🏽

@@maxwell5428I doubt all this tech would ever trickle down to the working/middle class. People are used to the cheapest electric cars being subpar econoboxes that cost over 30k USD and will never pay itself off compared to an equivalent vehicle. Whether or not manufacturers will take advantage of that and market new EVs around that same price point despite falling battery costs remains to be seen.
Biplab Kumar Ghosh not really a fan of the Tesla’s to be honest. They’re not built very well and the interior is hideous and dead feeling when you set In them.

Constantine Joseph dude, I drive an e Golf with 100-140 mile range and have no issues. The (worst case) 200 mile range of Taycan is fine for me 👍🏻
200 miles could be 4 solid hours of driving at average 50mph, it’s just not a thing that even factors into my thinking with EVs.
If you absolutely need to do 300miles non stop then by all means get the Tesla
@@Aaronage1 Where you live which is a rarity, you will have no problems. Most people live in urban areas. I live in Singapore and the road congestion and bumper to bumper traffic means the vehicle efficiency level is going to plummet significantly over open roads and highways or less congested traffic environments.
The Tesla comes in as a super car performing EV with the practicality. The Porsche does not deliver that and it is just looks and hype of performance but simply not practical for most drivers.
It's the sportiest and 'best sounding' EV out there so yes It's very good. Now we just need Plaid Model S, Roadster, Rimac C2, Lotus Evija and other exciting EVs
This kind of launch control and speed must be helpful for social distancing... or just distancing in general
