Hesitating on paying for the 8.4" U-Connect upgrade on your Jeep gladiator? I do a detailed review on some of the features that the radio comes with. Jeep did a really nice job with this set up!

My biggest regret is ording my wrangler with the base display. Buy once, cry once. Get the upgrade.

To use the maps on your iPhone, do you have to hook the cable up or does it work on bluetooth?
How do I use projection manager on my Jeep Wrangler to mirror what is on my phone to play CZcams or Netflix?
Does it improve Sound quality? Can I upgrade it from 4” to 6” inch speakers directly or still need ampayers. (Currently 7”)
Looks better, too bad the base 5 radio hasn't been able to do basic functions without shoring out since 2018 JL. Anyone who is ordering a JL or JT avoiding the base radio is a priority. The 5 is a waste of money, idk how their isn't a class action lawsuit yet..just get the 8.4 you will be much happier!
If out on trails there’s no grid how can you make it where there’s a trail so you can follow it back
The phone connector jack on your phone is most likely drity that is why you keeps loosing connection
Does anyone know when switching screens from a 5.0 screen onto a 8.4 on a Jeep Wrangler 2019 sport the back up camera is highlighted green ? And how to resolve this issue.

I'm pretty sure the Tazer Mini does all that as well as lets you install the front camera
You skipped through the movie app pretty quickly so I have a silly question. The movies that were listed on the menu, can you actually play them or are they listed for the purpose of you finding the nearest theater to where the movies are being played?
No its just what theaters you can go to. Can't watch movies on it that im aware of.
no, you can actually be in the movie if you close your eyes while the car is driving, i dont recommend it because its hard to get out of the movie when you do this, just wait till the next update to do this
Can this be for the Jeep Grand Cherokee 2018 summit?
I believe you can get the same screen in the grand Cherokee. Not at 100% sure though.
Did you know there is a setting to change the colors. Blue, green, orange, ect... And the shape of the apps.

The only thing I don’t like is that you can’t play DVD’s even the Alpine stereos don’t have this capability any longer! Bummer!!
Does anyone know what the 8.4" has that the 7" doesn't?
Beside the 1.4’ bigger the 8.4 got the GPS included but anything else I think its operates exactly the same as the 7” and as you might know most of the smart phones got GPS so thanks to the apple car anyone could use it with screen of the 7”
Apple Car play sucks on the 7". I bought one with the 7" because it had every other feature I wanted. On the drive home, Apple Car play would only fit to about 5" of the screen and it cant be adjusted. Its a joke. I got home and instantly ordered the 8,4" from Mopar to put in.

bladerunner8832 yes it does. I was also able to transfer my free trial of Sirius over to it as well with no problems. This was also a brand new never used radio so I didn’t need codes or anything like that

the base 5 is the worst radio i have ever seen...how is your 8.4 holding up? i am looking to upgrade so i can at least have a working radio and not keep replacing the base one jeep will never get to work, on my third radio! ...

Climate control you can just set it to auto. And leave it there. Works really well
Agreed. Have mine set to what i like. Jeep did a nice job designing it.
I can't wait to buy the whole dash from the 2024 Jeep Gladiator to have the 12" screen. They're so much better than this.

I hate Uconect systems. I had 7 inch screen, and CarPlay map on the screen was smaller then on my iPhone. For the price of 8.4 screen y can buy Alpine 509
Factory nav on all makes suck. Use your Apple play or android auto with google maps or Waze!!
+Mark Ahart so I just found out that Gaia maps has a test flight program for apple play. I’ve been using it this week and love it! I agree they always suck. It works well for plan typing in addresses. But I wouldn’t trust for overlanding.
Thanks for the videos I live in Michigan as well,just bought my Gladiator and maybe I’m missing something but I can only find bass mid and treble EQ is there a graphic EQ that I am missing pretty costly unit not to have this?
you re a fool if you stay with the Uconnect system ours lasted 2years and then the camera function quit working on it the dealer is telling us they will not cover so now we have to drop 1k into the stero just to get our cameras back
Creature comforts? My tractor has a more comfortable seat than the Gladiator I just test drove. Instead of high tech I wish they offered a seat upgrade.
