Melbourne CBD looks busier in 1972 than today! But then, they didn't have Daniel Andrews locking them down. Great footage. See all the people looking at the camera in the background!
a few familiar faces and places there hey...
The era of 'Crooks' and 'Goods'. And also the year my elder daughter was born. I still love Melbourne although things have changed our 'Hyper' city down during 2 yeas of covid.

I did happen to observe George Mallaby at a bar at Tulla airport just a few years after this was filmed and of course he had two very attractive young ladies hanging on his every word.

I met that Hare Krishna in the 1990's.
Yes I remember them too! They were always in the city! From the Danks Street Temple. There's good footage of them and others that you'll recognise on a CZcams clip called Hare Krishna Festival 1974. Full colour. Amazing clip!
Tulla; 8 people. Not yet invaded by U know who.
