Melbourne CBD looks busier in 1972 than today! But then, they didn't have Daniel Andrews locking them down. Great footage. See all the people looking at the camera in the background!

The era of 'Crooks' and 'Goods'. And also the year my elder daughter was born. I still love Melbourne although things have changed our 'Hyper' city down during 2 yeas of covid.

It was Port Melbourne, where you had the question mark. It was by the beach looking over to Williamstown.

Unless it has gone out of wack, I see it go right from Brunswick Rd, to the Tulla Fwy and then the airport.

I did happen to observe George Mallaby at a bar at Tulla airport just a few years after this was filmed and of course he had two very attractive young ladies hanging on his every word.

Yes I remember them too! They were always in the city! From the Danks Street Temple. There's good footage of them and others that you'll recognise on a CZcams clip called Hare Krishna Festival 1974. Full colour. Amazing clip!
