In Steins;Gate, self-proclaimed mad scientist Rintarou Okabe rents out a room in a rickety old building in Akihabara, where he indulges himself in his hobby of inventing prospective "future gadgets" with fellow lab members: Mayuri Shiina, his air-headed childhood friend, and Hashida Itaru, a perverted hacker nicknamed "Daru." The three pass the time by tinkering with their most promising contraption yet, a machine dubbed the "Phone Microwave," which performs the strange function of morphing bananas into piles of green gel.
Though miraculous in itself, the phenomenon doesn't provide anything concrete in Okabe's search for a scientific breakthrough; that is, until the lab members are spurred into action by a string of mysterious happenings before stumbling upon an unexpected success-the Phone Microwave can send emails to the past, altering the flow of history.
Adapted from the critically acclaimed visual novel by 5pb. and Nitroplus, Steins Gate takes Okabe through the depths of scientific theory and practicality. Forced across the diverging threads of past and present, Okabe must shoulder the burdens that come with holding the key to the realm of time.

It's actually impressive that you made a spoiler free trailer for this. It's actually really hard to even talk about the show without spoiling anything.
Thanks, Mike! You're absolutely right, is is very difficult making a trailer or talking about Steins;Gate without giving away plot points that prove far more emotionally effective if you let the viewer discover them by themselves. I really tried only hinting at these plot points in the trailer and I think every potential spoiler in there requires knowledge about certain things that you could only get by seeing the show.

This was my "first anime" and since then, I haven't been able to move on from this or anime as whole. Such a wonderful peice of creativity, story telling, tech and sci-fi mashed all together.

Not gonna lie getting into Steins;Gate was a turning point of my life.
Steins;Gate is... an experience. It's not my first anime, but it would forever stay with me. It made me change a lot on how I view things and it genuinely left an impact in my life. It deserves every praise given to it.
That was thrilling makes me wanna watch this series now. Just perfect to be called a trailer. Especially the sound effects were in good sync.
Edit: I have watched the entire series now it was amazing, and also the trailer was spoiler free. It's definitely one of the best sci-fi shows that is there.

After watching it first 5 years ago, i have just finished rewatching it. And, i cane here to seem some extra clips but i found this masterpiece. Im so glad the fandom still lives.

I think I have to thank you. This year-old fan-trailer here convinced me to give the 9-year-old Steins;Gate a shot back in March. Now I have seen the entirety of the SteinsGate-franchise and consider the original series to be within my Top 10 shows of all time. So thank you for bringing it to my attention with your skill!
I just completed it. One thing I didn't yet understand in Steins;Gate0 is in 15 ep (I think or 16) Okabe somehow travels to alpha world line Without using Dmail or Time Leap. Then talks to Kurisu a bit then returns via Time Leap, HOW did he g there in the first place, who triggered it. Thanks in advance, its heen bothering me for a while.

In the episodes before that, it is shown in the news that Russia has been plagued with mysterious earthquakes, in another instance someone found a compound filled with dead monkeys or something and there was a massive outbreak of encephalitis. It is implied that Russia have begun experimenting with their own form of time-travel (remember, Kurisu dying meant that her killer took her time-travel-thesis to Russia). One of those experiments must have succeeded and via Butterfly effect altered the timeline that when Kurisu burst into the lab in ep 22 to confess her love for Okabe right as he was about to delete his first d-mail (which cut off her confession originally), she could finish her sentence which made Okabe stay.
TL;DR Russian time-travel-experiments reading-steiner'ed Okabe to an alpha-worldline outside of his control.

This is actually insane! The timing of the music with the tense emotional scenes works so well for portraying Okabe's stress and burden, as well as the pure absurdity of event repetition in Steins;Gate for the purpose of achieving some seemingly nonexistent and impossible outcome. Amazingly edited, thank you for this!

Is it just me or steins; gate animation is just really good, i mean the art style is going to the realism route and not really that anime-ish which i really dig, the way they draw the background as well as the surrounding and character’s eyes are just superb from an anime that came in 2011. It's rare to see anime taking this kind of animation imo.
the art has character, it's unique and has its own reason to be the way it was. when you build a world, you need a good art team to bring the necessary visual to describe what kind of world you're making, what kind of story behind that world, what atmosphere you want to give to the audience, what kind of feeling you want your audience to feel, and Steins gate did an amazing work on their visual choices. Imagine if the production art wasn't like this, imagine it's just like some ordinary slice of life or rom-com. You won't get the feeling of that mystery, you won't feel the feeling of that "something's wrong with this world" thing. Even the color palette they're using is on point. Using yellow-ish and grey-ish color and not being over saturated. This art team did know what they're doing. When you already fulfill those criteria, then your art has a strong character.

Zero is a bit worse. It has less interesting jokes and it has slower start (there wasn't too much interesting stuff going on). Yet there are some new interesting characters and nice plot twists later on. Daru turned to be very active and usefull here. And the ending is exciting
All in all, it is worth watching (as minimum to know everything), though it is not as great as first one

Finished watching Steins; Gate (along with the episode 25 and 26) and it was simply outstanding. I didn't like the first 5 episodes, but now it is my favourite anime and has a special place in my heart.

I've lost it when I heard Daru's "There are two types of lies". I got it as a great meta-joke: I instantly imagined being a viewer who thought this line would appear in a dramatic moment and then heard it where it actually is, lmao

This was perfectly done! didnt reveal anything but gave a bit of a glimpse. I think maybe more glimpses should have come such as explaining why sern is after them or why okabe is telling Mayuri to run. or even a glimpse of the iconic intruders entering the d-lab scene. but even wthiout it its well crafted.
The begining was also beautiful. the build up of atmosphere, the song, the clips u used!
