    I looked at several tutorials that demonstrated making contour cuts as if it needed to be a scientific study. You made it so much easier, getting to the main points to create a clean contour around a graphic. Thank you

    Great tutorial for helping to understand Illustrator's highly complicated process. It's amazing that Adobe never figured out whatever methodology that Flexi allows one to do all of the same contour outlines and bleeds with a single touch of a button.

    Great Video. One thing...my tech told me the stroke should be as thin as possible, so I set mine to .25

    Does the Artboard matter when exporting a design with CutContour into Versaworks especially if you are saving material space? Whenever I export an EPS to the printer, the printer often tells me that I have extra space despite it being pure vector for a while now and despite me shrinking the artboard lately to snug fit the design. I understand raster images with bounding boxes that needs to be trimmed but when it comes to pure vector do I need to constantly align the extra artboard? For example, like your Tigers design, do I need to shrink that extra space around it or maybe hide it behind the artwork for versaworks to stop creating extra blank spaces? I am not familiar with Versaworks so I am not sure if the problem is from my end or is there a calibration at Versaworks that is not being used to address this issue. I would like study using Versa works software but sadly I do not have a printer for it. Thank you in advance.

    Is there away to contour cut with a cutter that doesn't have ARMS built into it? Using your method?

    How did you get the color palet when you put the pink color called cut contour

    • @masterprinter5029
      @masterprinter5029 Před 3 lety +1

      That color palette only comes with the Roland on versa works when you download the software. You have to have a fancy cutting machine for this to work

    I seriously need help, maybe FaceTime. I’d be willing to Venmo and pay you. I have went through about 20 tutorials over the past 3 days and I dont know what is wrong but it wont let me use the pathfinder. Someone said select object, expand appearance and then try, but its greyed out. I’d love to use my Roland but I am stuck. HELP!

    • @applelemming
      @applelemming Před 2 lety

      You have to apply the “CutContour” spot colour to the stroke of your vector cutting line. Any other method will result in printing-not cutting.
