ive been googling an embarrassing amount to try and find this exact thing, began to think it wasnt possible. but that trailer is ingenious, awesome work!
I've always wanted a small dog to take riding with me on the motorcycles. I finally got a dog, but.....he is HUGE. lol. This has given me new hope that I can take him riding with me out in the mountains though. Very cool.
Very sweet! I knew it wasn't just for weight that they made axels hollow.
Dang it, I guess I will just have to build one for my bike, but I really like your design as I spend a lot of time offroad, thanks
Brilliant, well done!
How sharp can it turn? Is it "highway rated" (to 100 mph)? Is a single wheel trailer stable at high speeds? Other than these considerations, it looks great.
This trailer costs about the same as a nice rack and hard pannier combination. It's $1,000 or so depending on your bike.
This is epic. Though I am looking to use as a "side card for my dog" lol any way to make the cargo area larger?
I wish the rear wheel could pivot as to make it through switchback trails !!!
Good job bro...
Love the van, bike, trailer, and the muttonchops
Well, connecting requires an internally hollow rear wheel axle .. does it come with a trailer or you gotta make one? I haven't seen any bike so far with a hollow rear shaft.
I like the idea of the removeable box
Nice intro!
Do you guys or anyone make a flatbed style trailer? One not made just to fit that crate?
i'm looking for one that will fit my 2021 honda trail 125 this one wont fit because i dont have a hallow axel like that bike does.
Nice Chevy van!😊
Muy buenos Argentina Buenos aires
I have a 250 cc Honda big ruckus. wood be nice to be able to hook up to
Why didn't you leave a link where to get the bike trailer
That's cool
Ese trailer se comercializa en Argentina *?
does it require a license plate and lights to go on the road? Nice design, just like the moto mule.
every time there is a new wheel or axl on the ground, the state wants "its money", so yes, they would consider it a single axle trailer
Succesful....I liked....good job.
Thank you very much!
I am planning on getting a new trailer and living on the road with it so any help you could give me would be a great help
Hi Michael. We do have a hitch kit for the 2nd Generation KLR bikes :) Hope this helps. Let us know if you have further questions
Aí sim em gostei
just curious - is this setup street legal? can it be made street legal?
Will it handle sustained highway speeds with a DOT tire? What about a lighting set-up?
yes it will do highway speeds, we don't offer a lighting kit but many of our customers have add their own.
@@KIPMoto does it already have a DOT Tire?
looking for a couple to be able to take our two English bulldogs and one old English bulldog with us when we get a couple Yamaha TW 200s
I’m envisaging a case or two beer capacity
You've clearly got a good product, the welds are seriously fantastic, cost less than anything else and a simple and effective design, which is genius. You may not need help selling the product, but more help in fabrication. Maybe you're doing fine and don't want expand to the point of being the only thing you're doing, which is understandable. Look forward to getting mine complete. I told a Brother In Law about your product for his Africa Twin and he immediately ordered it. He's happy. It sells itself.
Constructive criticism: You need a gallery of actual connections (There appear to be at least two methods, if not three) and a closer view in the videos and a FAQ page. It would greatly reduce the questions. Most things are in place, just not complete. People are going to have general questions, like lights, VIN, general registration, load capacity, maintenance. A lot of information is out there but scattered everywhere. Of course I realize you're also fabricating, riding, living and doing family stuff and all that consumes time.
I ordered one and was notified it was ready, I ended up declining, not one question was answered. It would take a web page illustration or video for the R1200GS. He says he makes it for the R1200GSLC but there isn't an option on the website. I just wanted to see one clear illustration of how it works for a R1200GS.
Or the price
Muito bom
Maybe I will post my trailer on you-tube some day
Do it, please
i bought a quietcat bicycle trailer built along the same lines as yours,i have a 20" x4" rear tire/wheel tho on mine, rated at 80 lbs i think for gear, was gonna hook it up to my 04 shadow 600,but couldnt envision any way to hook it up.was your motorcycle axle already hollowed out like that with the wheel bolt in place or did you remove it to slide that axle in? in the end i jus decided to motorize my 26" phat tire bicycle, and its a slow and tedious process, but have most of the stuff to fabricate with.and my trailer was only 370 bucs on sale from the manufacturer.
Your bike has a hollow axle my klr is a solid axle, is there a hollow axle available for my bike
I hope we got answer some day 🤔🤭
Not a real good way to sell your product, 3 years and counting. No answer......
Yep, no answer
I was hoping for an answer to see how to hook up one of his trailers, I am as looking at the trail called trail trailers
Legend has it - to this very day this question is still written on the stones of comment. Unanswered.
What about bike that dont have a hollow axle??????
เคยเห็นมอเตอร์ไซค์บางรุ่นอุปกรณ์ติดตั้งพิเศษมันสามารถเพิ่มน้ำมันเชื้อเพลิงได้ถึง 15 ถึง 20 ลิตร
do you have any suggestions for a substitute? i can’t afford this lol
Make your own.
If you can't afford it, you can't afford moto adventure. Buy a C90 like Ed March
That has to make riding so much more fun instead of loading everything on your bike. You could carry extra tires and fuel no problem. What is the point where you feel it's just too much weight? My guess is you wouldn't want more than 100 lbs maxed out
Our standard SherpaX is rated for max 60lbs. Slower off road stuff you feel it more, high speed behind a big adv bike and you don't even notice it.

Your camera man needs to be fired. He didn’t shoot a close up of when you were showing the viewers how to hook up the trailer.
Would like it alot more if it could be connected to the frame instead of the swingarm the unsprung weight on the swing arm will affect the motorcycle handling and suspension.
michael schettl
The way i see it Michael is THAT might exceed the gvw overall and the sprung weight vs unsprung WILL affect the off road performance and most likely the on road as well . I've had plenty of Bicycle trailers , the frames solid AND suspended . The trailers always worked better if trailing the rear axle. Just my musings .
Yes might effect it a little bit but no where near as bad as having all that gear in panniers
All gear scenarios effect handling, Just cause it effects handling doesn’t mean it effects it to much. This would be much better specifically off rd then a 60lb bag on the tail that locks you into the bike. And most bikes frames aren’t made to handle extra weight like that.
The best way is to bring a pocket full of money and buy everything along the way and you don't have to carry anything
You sound like an engineer by the fancy jargon you use and it appears you put a lot of thought into your answer. Where would you like the trailer hitch mounted? How does someone on a bike carry 60lbs of gear to make it feel like you aren't carrying anything? I have a feeling you just may be putting this klp guy out of business
Work for mopeds too??
look at bicycle trailers instead. they are lighter and wont slow the moped down as much.
WTH, is Hobo Bill everywhere??
My klr is a 1989 klr 250
At this time we don't have a hitch setup for your 89' KLR. Sorry Michael
How about 2017 KLR650 ---maybe you should post what bikes you do have mounts avail for
Hi d wendt. We've got a complete list of current bikes at kipmoto.com/collections/trailers/products/hitch-fitment-kit

Damage to the swing arm and perfomance. Put a flat bar instead.
alfredo calimquim what do you mean exactly?
I tried to buy one of your trailers called and sent messages over 25 times I ended up buying a trail tail no one ever bothered to get back to me if you're in business if you're not in business very poor
I dont know the product nor never will 1100.00 for a trailer is to much for my taste
$1,000 for the trailer-? 😲🤔😭
You should just go to the motorcycle shop. They give away panniers and racks for free.
annoying ass loud motors, thing of the past for sure.
