Bio
Multi-Instrumentalist Reinhardt Buhr has composed 17 albums in 10 years time.
At the end of 2019, his work went viral over social media, reaching more than a hundred million views across Facebook and CZcams.
Reinhardt combines the Laser Harp, Spanish Guitar, Electric Guitar, Electric Cello, Australian didgeridoo, Israeli Shofar, Spanish Cajon, Synthesizers and Piano via a live looping system to create an extraordinary symphonic orchestral sound in only a one-man improvisational act.
Reinhardt Buhr was born in Johannesburg, South Africa in 1988 and grew up with
no passion for music at all, In fact, as a teenager, he became a computer gamer and
began abusing alcohol at a very young age. His first job was at a small liquor store, where he earned 20 cents an hour. After that, he worked as a packer in a supermarket. His plan of
becoming an animator failed when he started abusing marijuana and alcohol on a
regular basis.
At the age of 19, two of his closest friends began learning the guitar. Reinhardt
immediately fell in love with it. With no formal training, the three friends simply
taught themselves how to play. A year later, Reinhardt was inspired by a Flamenco
guitar player, and began learning Flamenco Rumba Guitar from CZcams videos.
One day, he was sitting at a small roadside steak restaurant with his parents, and
there was a man playing solo guitar covers. Reinhardt approached him to make
small talk and the owner of the restaurant overheard that Reinhardt played a bit of
Spanish Guitar music.
So the owner asked Reinhardt “Why don’t you come back next week to play, and I
will give you a steak and 10 dollars in return?” So Reinhardt Buhr played his first
solo Spanish guitar gig that following weekend and hasn’t stopped since.
Reinhardt Buhr quickly became known around South Africa and formed a duo
band called “Wild Lettuce”. He and the drummer performed many national
tours. They also opened for a lot of great artists. But unfortunately, Reinhardt fell
into a dark habit of abusing alcohol, drugs, and cocaine.
This affected him, his career, and everyone around him in a very negative way.
The band broke up. Reinhardt Buhr went solo and left his hometown, hoping to
escape the drug scene, only to find himself moving in with someone who also had
a cocaine problem. The whole cycle started over again.
At the end of 2016, Reinhardt hit an all-time low. He was at the point of death. He
fell on his knees and pleaded with God to step into his broken life. When things
could not get any worse, God in His full mercy and grace, stepped in and changed
his life completely. Reinhardt and his wife, Mandie Buhr, both experienced God’s
salvation and were baptized together. They left a lifestyle of abusing, marijuana,
alcohol, and drugs, and began on a beautiful road of salvation and healing.
During the biggest transition of his life, Reinhardt was playing a gig one day. As
he was playing for hundreds of people, He experienced a voice telling him to make music
for God. When Reinhardt made the shift from playing for fame and fortune to
playing for Christ Jesus, everything about his music changed! You can even see
the transition from his earlier album called “Organic 432hz”, to his latest album
entitled “Arise”.
To this day, Reinhardt Buhr makes music to God. This is his way of worshiping
His Creator and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

God Bless you and co for this beautiful Angelic Heaven music to my ears 😇
my most favourite tune must have listened to it over 50 times pure talent keep theses tunes coming please reinhardt
Thanks. At last you made it so simple to understand the setup. i recently purchased a second self powered speaker to get me by for a couple of hours. Now i can power up my 15" passive speaker for singing. Sounds a lot better than the 15" self powered speaker. Love your performance.
Powerful stuff . From the source of creation ...
Psalm 139...
Thank you for posting this. I have been wandering how to power a system where there is no power. Love the way you compose and produce.
I love your music , greetings from Dubai by an Indian expat
Thanks! great info on the pure sine wave inverter and calculating power. Dig your music
I use a combo of battery powered speakers (Roland/Bose/Behringer) as well as a small inverter and battery rig. I can't wait to get back out there. Really enjoy your craft my friend and have recently bought a Boss 505 due to your Nastya Moslova's videos, I know you have outgrown and upgraded but I think it will be a great addition to my Voicelive 3-X. Good luck to you and your wife, it would be nice to see her accompany you some time in the future. Loved the track you did together. Take care brother and keep making those inspiring sound collages.
Oh wow cool set up 🎸🎤🎹.actually like to hear you play your intruments instead of your audio back ground.Thank you for sharing Butifull sounds 🎹🎤🎶🙏🎸

Wow such a great idea. Epic song.... LEGEND ♥️🙏
Thanks a lot Elmarie!
God Bless The Both of You!
Get ur ass to northeast England, you’ll get lots of support 👍
Nice set up. Your electrical calculations and assumptions are "interesting" though. The one thing you have 100% correct though is buying a full sine wave inverter first time round. Great video, thanks :-)
so cool
Muito bom! Gosto muito dos seus videos, lugar magnifico parabéns!
Muito Obrigado :)

Cool film - and a kind of tour guide through this amazing place :-) I should come for a holiday stay ... By the way: No doggies? :-)
Great work, my friends.
If you look carefully around 05:50 you can see dude, he looks as confused as me hahah :)
A magnificent passage inscribed on your instrument, which is our verse of marriage with my wife, Jeremiah 29 v 1: For I know the plans that I have formed for you, says the Lord, plans of peace and not of misfortune, so to give you a future and hope.
Blessings to you!

Hello Reinhardt! What a beautiful location, I had no idea.. where are you ?? Love to visit your country sometime 🙏
Cape Town, South Africa
Reinhardt buhr, what do you use to recharge you battery and the lithium battery 12v 40Ah? The "tickle" chargers will take days and hours to charge a 12v battery. Do i use a 150Watt or 300 watt inverter converter from AC to DC?
Use exactly what i mentioned in the video and you will be fine, also any normal car battery charger will work, it takes a few hours while you are sleeping,
Starts properly @7:00....
What was the video for ???? it just showed you setting up and wandering around? I was expecting a full show if your selling discs about what type of music????
We’re was that also I’m looking at buying a lazer harp can you advise me what size lazer projector etc

REINHARDTBUHR, how many AMPS is your charger? some are 4 amps and others are 10amps. The 4 amps would takes hours to charge the battery i think
its a 10 amp charger :)
how many hours will it last that size of battery? 100ah?
100ah is massive! that will last my setup at least 8 hours. I use a 50Ah battery and it lasts about 4 hours.
how do you recharge it
so how do u recharge your battery and have it keep the charge for next time?
Normal car battery charger, and it keeps the charge for days maybe even months
Wow Amazing sound! 🥰 !!!!I have a question, I have a Aer compact 60watt 230v , to power it I bought a pure wave inverter 300watt 220v and a lead 18ah battery. when I turn on the amp comes out a background noise. why ? do I have to take a 230v inverter ?
I would assume so yes, there is so many things that can cause the buss, I have had a certain midi port causing major buzz noise while operating on battery!
How many hours do you get out of the battery?
220 or 230V is not the problem.
Keep the wires to battery thick and short, and keep the inverter away from sensitive equipment, like single coil guitar pickups, microphones, etc.
Could be a ground loop.
Google it.
Also may need some kind of earth grounding, to eliminate noise.
Also, not all Pure Sine wave inverters are good for audio.
You might have to try a few to find one that works for you.
Check reviews on Amazon.
REINHARDT BUHR, what rechargeable battery are you using and what can i use as a rechargeable battery for my marshall amp to play out on the street?
bill williams I just used a normal 12V lead acid car battery in this video, which works perfectly but it’s really heavy and you need to be careful not to let it tip over etc. Even better would be a gel or AGM car battery. It’s the cheapest option but not the best. If you can afford it, buy yourself a lithium battery. 12V 40Ah would be more than enough. It’s quite a bit more expensive, but it’s at least half the weight or less, and has a longer lifetime. :)
Hey! Could you please tell how many hours you played with all that equipment on that power setup supply . Thanks, mate
was getting around 1 hour 30 minutes loud playing on average
@@ReinhardtBuhr wow , not much. How many Ah on battery that was ?
How do you sustain a charge in the battery?
Great video .how long is play time with the set up
How many hours can you play on one fully charged battery?
Cool. Where is that? Wondering about a suitable battery for 2 turntables, a 2 channel mixer, amp/speaker and laptop. Do you have any ideas? Would like to play for 4 hours at least.
You will have to do a little math.
Add up all the wattage requirements, from your gear, to find out how big your inverter should be.
Then multiply by how many hours you want to run, to find battery size.
Use Google to look for more information, and examples.
Playing outdoors is the best.
Have fun!
Cool video!! Love it! How many lengages do you speak?
Hi brother. You come in Pakistan
12 minute video, only 1 minute corersponds to the title...
exactly what I thought. Everybody's using car batteries and motorcycle batteries that are lead acid not even Deep Cell. I'm like there's these new things they're really neat called lithium ion.
@@delphinoaleon6436 Indeed and they super expensive compared to a car a battery
Perhaps they turned off the power on purpose?
Pure sine wave is a waste of money, zIT run amps all of the time on a cheap plain old inverter
Amps doesn't take much power, try a 1500 watt modified sine wave inverter on a 1000 watt speaker and report back to me :)
