- The U.S. Supreme Court heard arguments Thursday on whether former Pres. Donald Trump can be criminally prosecuted over his efforts to overturn his 2020 election loss.
Throughout arguments, multiple of the justices made clear they were looking past the immediate example of Trump and what their decision will mean for the future of the presidency.

Sotomayor’s comment on presidential immunity with regard to an impeachment was quite strong. If the president has immunity and thus exempt to crimes, then the president could not be impeached because he would be exempt from all “high crimes and misdemeanors.”

The Democrats hate campaign against Trump if not checked will hurt democracy every where in the world. A presidential immunity applies to Trump when he is in office. Same as Biden today. This privilege is present with the president at all time during his presidency. Segregating acts where the immunity applies and when it does not apply will inadvertently result in criminalisation of a seating president. Put in context, Biden's family is entangled in various hush payments during his time as VP. In fact his son hunter who happen to accompany his VP father to high level foreign travels has been found guilty selling access to his VP father for high prices has been found guilty. Hunter was in that plane because he is Biden's son. Now that Biden is president, WWE should bring Biden to trial to determine his complicity in the son's criminal action since abuse of his office is enabled by his him bringing his son to high level official trips? Rightfully so, as a Republican and a lawyer, this evokes extreme fear; it is a system that is already plagued with issues. It defies comprehension, and not one member should be hearing this case. But it's here now, and the questioning is absurd and supports one thing: delay, delay, delay. They are sworn to uphold the Constitution. I have studied the Continental Congress, and if you read Frankiln's speech just before the vote, he actually warned us against a person like Trump attempting to shake its foundation. It's not a perfect document, and these jurors are meant to uphold common sense interpretations. I'm afraid too! We all should be including Maga Voter. Sometimes, there is right & wrong. Trump's argument is dead wrong and a clear and present danger. We need to focus on bigger issues and move forward with this case.
