Transfigured Night Op. 4, Arnold Schoenberg

Zagreb soloist's performance of 'Verklärte Nacht' at the opening of the 69th season. Austrian and American composer was inspired by a Richard Dehmel song, but they say that the love contributed to its ending. Arnold Schoenberg completed the composition only when he met his future wife, Mathilde von Zemlinsky.
