I agree, people downsize everyday for various reasons. It is looking amazing! I too like to get my kitchen set up,( decor and all) right away. Your dogs and 🐢 look happy too. Oh, almost forgot; I love the cutting board grouping you did! 😊 🏠
I’m newer to your channel and I think your new home is such a lovely change from the cookie-cutter mass produced newer construction. I think it’s charming and you will inspire so many more ppl showing them new ways of looking at their space regardless of its size. Housing in the US is so high, seeing the potential of smaller sq ft and older homes I think will be more inspiring to viewers since it’s more obtainable today.
Suggestion. Put shades behind the kitchen curtains. You can just lower the blinds and not have to mess with curtains every day.

They make not too expensive solar shades that don’t black out your light. I got one for my south facing bedroom window.
Or roller shades, insulated. Will look great behind the Roman curtains. I did that in my house.

Ann, I love a home with character and history, how lucky you are to be living in a place with so many memories and history. You are going to make this new home "Ann's Home" and it is going to be so much fun watching you do that. I remember getting my apartment once my first marriage was over. I didn't have a whole lot, but with time, a lot of creativity, garage sale's, thrift stores and lots of love, the generosity from people that I didn't think cared helped me, that apartment became home. You got this, and I wish you the best!

I would kill to be able to move as fast as u do, I'm 65 now & have recovered from a shattered ankle & some hip replacements. I'm so envious bcuz I can't move like that anymore. My brain moves at that speed, but my body says "oh no don't"! 😂 I really love the plate u hung in the kitchen, very special. Dieing to see the finished setup of the whole house. So happy for u!

I use honeycomb cellular shades from blinds to go, then you can enjoy the curtains but not put up and down. So happy your switching the fridge. This is going to be perfect for you ❤

I would hem those kitchen curtains to end at the bottom of the window frame so that when they are down they aren't in the way. They will be easier to roll up too!
Yes, I thought the shorter ones looked fantastic and easier to roll up. If she gets shades for behind them she won’t have to mess with them at all.

Coming together. I love the history of the house. Just a suggestion, that long window in the kitchen spans a long way, maybe another bracket in the middle to stop the sagging? You can just center it and hang the whole rod and curtain right on it or just cut a little slit in the back of the middle curtain to loop over the pole. Looks great!

I just love how cozy and unique your new home is. I know you will find peace and happiness here. I would suggest putting blinds on your windows with valances. It will be so much easier to open and close, and also look very cute and homey. However, I do love the curtains you chose. I can't wait to see all your decor!!!
