  • Owners of this store in England let an attempted robber go free. Surveillance video caught what looked like a customer browsing through The Phone Market, a cell phone store in West Yorkshire, UK. After getting two phones in his hand to compare, the hooded man makes a run for the door, only to find out that it’s locked from the inside. The shop owner Afzal Adam not only let the suspect go without calling police, he posted the video to Twitter asking the almost-robber to come back for help.

I applaud this man for staying true to his beliefs.
Update: wow, the reaction is crazy but I welcome it. OK, so I need to clarify some details:
    1) I know that there is a difference between "religious morals" and "personal morals."
    2) I put the message not to cause an issue, but to raise awareness on faith vs. hypocrisy.
    3) It is meant to be a simple message of encouragement to everyone, including myself.

I had a professor like this. He told us from the start of the class, no matter what the reason is on why we can’t turn in our assignments on time, just talk to him and he’ll work something out. Man had time for everyone. But there were still students failing. Shamefully, I was one of those students. One day he pulled me to the side because I had quite a few incomplete assignments, and told me I was in danger of failing the class. I didn’t ask him for any second chances. Instead, he told me he was willing to let me slide if I buckle down and start completing my work on time. Even then, I continued to take advantage of this generous man, and would turn in my assignments extremely late. But he’d still accept it, and still took the time to give me an honest grade. To this day I feel horrible for taking advantage of his generosity. But I learned to be understanding because of him, I learned to give people the benefit of the doubt and to never judge. He wasn’t dumb, he knew there were kids taking advantage of him. He just truly wanted us to be the best versions of ourselves.

You would be amaized how this simple act of kindness would actually help that thief to get his life in order... rather then punishement and having him go to jail, wich would most likely not change him at all... in fact the man would most likely be inclined to do even more robberies after that..., by forgiving him and giving that thug a second chance, that man would most likely see the error of his ways and change his character...
One of my friends actually was a thief and he was caught by the person he was stealing from, only for that person to forgive him as well, similar to what we saw in this video... and after many weeks, my friend totally changed his life... he is now an honest man, works hard, is totally independent, and has befriended the man he tried to steal money from... had the victim reported him to the police, its most likely he would have been in jail to this day, yet now, he is a happy working man that has a second chance in life...

One guy preyed on me and came in the store multiple times throughout a month. Acting as if he was scouting out a phone. Eventually he got me to let my guard down enough to where I turned my back to grab a charger he asked to look at & he grabbed the phone & ran out. We didn't have these kind of locks to stop him and it's probably good that we didn't cuz I wouldve been terrified to be locked inside with a large man like that.
I felt terrible that I had allowed myself to be conned & I paid for the phone out of pocket to not lose my job. I didn't work there for much longer though cuz I eventually realized it was too dangerous for a young girl to be alone, day & night, in that environment.
