Yes, grow his hair out. I've been growing my son's hair since birth. I had it trimmed once in 2016 when he was 4. Some people think he's a boy, but if they would look at his clothes they would know that he is a boy. The baby in the video is soooooo adorable, good job mom!

First of all, he is freakin ADORABLE!!! Secondly, I am sooooo glad that I found your channel. I have been looking for someone who does hairstyles on little boys with natural hair because EVERYONE I follow has girls and I def needed some ideas. I struggle a little with different styles though because my sons hair shed a lot or basically went completely bald in the back when he was an infant and it is just now starting to get to a length where I can grab it enough to braid it (He's still little, he's 15 months). Did he ever experience the bald phase? If so, what did you use to help stimulate the growth?
thank you and I feel the same. Not enough videos of little boys with hair. Thankfully, we never experienced the bald spot so I don't have any suggestions to give you. However, for whatever reason, with my daughter she is getting the bald spot. When we noticed it beginning, we purchased a silk pillow case and we laid it down wherever we put her down. The spot had gotten a little bit bigger but we think its from the hair that hadn't fallen off prior to getting the pillow case. Since, doing that we haven't noticed any hair left behind on the areas she sleeps.
I experienced a section in the middle back of his head that made braiding it not last long. I just massaged his scalp with wild hair growth oil.

I’m an expecting mother ( expected due date August 1st) I was very disappointed when I found out I was having a boy cause I didn’t know how I would care for his hair or what styles to do lol it sounds silly but I don’t want to cut his hair and this video has helped me a lot 😊
I was disappointed having a boy, too. So, i never cut it until the before he started school. Kept him in curle, ringlet, pitails. Very girlish but very fun!

Love this style, I usually put my sons hair in 4 braids straight back ( the only thing he will really sit still for) but i wanna give his hair a break from braids just so that way it can breath, it soaks up moisture and collects so my dirt during the week it's crazy. Any tips on moisturizer? I try not to use heavy oils.

Handsome kid😊 My 2 year old hair is about the same length, and I have the same issues with him not wanting to be still or he is too busy to even let me do his hair! It take me hours just for me to do a simple braiding style or plats😄 I am most definitely trying this style on him. What are some other simple, quick, long lasting styles have you tried on your son?
I have pretty much kept it the same for a long time. Its the easiest at this point. I have also done individual braids/plats which tend to last. I prefer those over corn rows for boys, plus i can't corn row to save my life lol. other styles I've tried just do not last.

so glad I found this video. my son is almost 3 and his hair grows so fast so I'm skipping the hair cuts and doing twists. his hair is the same as your son's except it's red..how does he sleep with it at night? my sons twists are all over the place when he wakes up in the morning.
He doesn't sleep with anything on his head. They don't get messed up. Most of the time they are dry when he goes to bed. If he goes down with them damp, the next morning one or two may be shaped funny, i just slightly spray them with water.

I know it's been asked before but how do I twist my biracial son's hair? His hair is very "in between". My hair is like this little boy's and his dad's hair is thin and wavy...so his hair is very soft. His twist and braids will crawl a loose WITH bands at the end. Is it any sneaky way to get around that? We tried this stuff called Curly Kids but didn't like it 😏
try using a thick cream based gel around the ends. that may hold his ends better. also try using clips instead of bands at the ends until his hair dries, so that way the ends don't come loose as you're twisting. after it dries you an leave as is or put bands on so it lasts longer
