The most interesting thing I heard was that his Mississippi State offense averaged 379 yards per game against SEC competition.
After listening to Hondo today I’m not so sure Getsy had the freedom to do what he wanted
I am calling BS on Hondo's podcast. He kept blaming "His coaches" but would not say who the coaches were. After watching a few film breakdowns I am not looking forward to Getsy's anemic offense. Only time will tell.

I dont even know, there had to be better options than a coordinator that ran a offense that had receivers consistently running the same routes on the same side of the field, along with all the QB sneaks on 4th and 1. He is boring. If it wasn’t on him, we will soon learn. I just want to see the Raiders relevant again.

@@BrianReynolds-ny5zt I want the same for the Raiders. The only place that I hear people talking bad about getsy offense is with the bears. I heard that after the packers let him go the first time, Rodgers’s and Adams lobbied for him to come back and that he became a big part of the offensive scheme without being the OC. Don’t know if that’s true though. Bottom line for me is AP picked him and I trust AP
AP mentioned in his press conference that he wants a certain style. To be specific he wants the raider style and def wants to implement the vertical game. Itll be interesting to see what happens

No OC would have 2 in routes going in the same spot. Not even in high school. That was obviously a mistake by one of the WRs. Im sure during the many interviews they had with Getsy, they had him explain himself for all the bad calls. Apparently they liked the explanation enough to hire him.
True. To me, that is part of the install that an OC has to do
He would basically say the players did it wrong guy took absolutely zero accountability for anything he did
Why would he take accountability for something the receiver did?oh I get it, he told the receiver to go 10 yards and left but the receiver chose right his fault.
@@toyasparkman9727 He would throw players under the bus even tho HE’S THE ONE THAT DREW IT UP. Imagine your coach tells you how to run a route and when asked why you ran that route he says “yea toyasparkman9727 just has to run the route better”
Bears fan here, no getsy had te running into each other, before the season news from camp was the offense looked clumsy, people running into each other etc.
I heard their was friction between Getsy and Fields. So more than likely we won't be trading for him. #Raiders
Getsy didn’t trust him after 2 years and he couldn’t read the field. Zero chance
I would imagine from watching this tape that it was mostly Getsy screaming at Fields for missing the wide open WR

Thx for the vid,> yes, some bizzaro plays//- not 100% sure some personnel situations, however , ground game run blocks got Bears out to some big leads, + development of Kmet. Chicago pissed away some games,- I live here. This is wild for me, No bigger Raiders fan [ 1966 ] in Illinois than Joe Snaidauf, think got a lil' bit more to work with. I'm owning time of possession next year. Killin it!!!!!!!

Like previous reports have mentioned, Kliff was under the assumption that the Raiders were going to trade up, but that was not the case. In comes Getsey going to take AOC to the next level.
This mindset is why we are poverty. We constantly want to develop mid. Why can’t we take a dive FOR ONCE
I believe this is premature, and an assumption. Plus Kliff wanted a 3 year contract, something the Raiders didn’t want to do. Will see what happens, but to say Raiders won’t possibly try and trade up if a QB is available that they love, but won’t pull the trigger? I don’t buy it☠️💀🏴☠️
@@Blizzyy16and you suggest what? A first year head coach and 2nd team GM bet the farm on a rookie QB with 3 first rounders, a second and probably a starter? Look at what Carolina gave up last year and they weren't at 13.
So yeah, that's a sure fire way to get a first time HC fired.

Kliff didn't have to fly all the way to Vegas to find out they weren't possibly moving up they have phones you know...plus AP LOVES HIS GUY JAYDEN DANIELS NOT CALEB WILLIAMS to make this work you have to make an offer to the patriots who need so many holes to fill on the roster that it makes no sense to draft Jayden whats he going to do just fail.

We don't, but that's what preseason is for. To make sure your players are on the same page and they're doing things properly. It's an OCs job to install an offense

Bo Nix or JJ McCarthy will fit perfectly in Getsy's offense . Both are athletic and very accurate with the underneath throws and can make the deep throws when needed

Players need to better understand blocking rules and levels in routes.
The receivers running to the same area is likely because one of the receivers ran the wrong route. I can't imagine anybody designing plays like that.

@@SanjitT fair enough. I also wouldn't be too worried about all the screens he called. An OC will do that when they don't trust the QB to be a consistent passer down field. Getsy obviously didn't trust Fields.
Chicago recievers just suck
There were a couple instances like that. That’s just Getsy you guys will see he’s the worst. Only OC to get back to back 1st overall picks with how terrible his play calling is

This is the type of offense where Adin O'Connell will make the correct reads and know where to go with the ball. Don't be surprised if Adin looks good in a Getsy offense.
Agreed 100 percent. He has the arm and processes way faster then fields. Is WAAAAAAAAY more accurate and not afraid to take shots. The more I see things like this the more I see them building around AOC while drafting a rookie maybe 2nd to 5th round or taking a shot with Russell Wilson who would run those offense to perfection.

I think people don’t realize that O’Connell didn’t get first team reps really until he was put in to start. Hoyer was getting the reps until Garoppolo came back. Those reps are important for a rookie. If they fix the o line, I wouldn’t mind them giving O’Connell a shot.
I'm back here watching this video after davante Adams said that getsy scheme is a great one. Adams is often wrong but as long as the star is happy I'm happy. I bet it's real hard to run an offense when you don't have a quarterback that can throw accurately.
Good Breakdown. The spacing in design can be fixed. I expect him to utilize all the weapons the Raiders have on offense. Could Joe Milton or Bo Nix be the qb the Raiders target? I like Fields too but too many brain lapses that cost possessions. Overall I’m excited to see the product in 2024.

Pretty misleading at the beginning you don’t mention how Getsy would call run, run, pass and expect Justin to bail him out, of course you won’t see the entire field if you don’t have a chance to get in rhythm
Hue Jackson would be key as a senior advisor or something to help with the conceptions. Like Rob Ryan was on defense.

One thing ive learned over the years talking to other fans of other teams no matter how good or bad or in between that team may be .....we ALL have complaints about PLAY CALLING every week , theres no perfect OC / DC , yes there are levels but players make coordinators the better the personnel the better the coach looks , if you have limited talent especially at the QB position the playbook will be limited , if you have pro bowlers all over the field the playbook expands .....we need a QB thats what im concerned about .
Wonder how many of those plays where WRs being in the same spot were just routes WRs ran incorrectly.
Also, are all his run plays in shotgun or does he go under center as well?
So with two WR’s running into the same space, you really think Getsy designed it that way or do you think a WR could possibly be running the wrong route

The game where Bagent started against us(week 7)was a masterful look at his run heavy efficient style of play calling.
Because Bagent was a limited QB who was a backup. You're missing the next week where he threw 6 picks an got benched against the saints

We can only hope that the problems with receivers being in the same area was a product of the players lack of understanding with the difficulty of the system. Hopefully Hue can help Getsy simplify things a bit, and more creative play calling

Looked to me that the WR are asked to read and adjust the route. Pretty sure the end zone play was the wr to his left was supposed to go under the othe WR. You had a WR break out instead of up the seem vs split safety. Taking a deep shots on 2nd and short to medium makes sense. Smarter WR/QB combo who can be on the same page will be huge.
as always Sajit, you give good perspective and examples with your analysis .. lets hope Getsy makes improvements in his play calling and that he can utilize our weapons effectively
on the routes where 2 wrs are running in the same direction, could be that one of them ran the wrong route. makes more sense than seeing it drawn out on paper.

In those Screen plays' } I can 👀 see! Jakobi Meyers in those plays. I actually seen him make a couple plays This past! year in those.. An Tré Tucker in that pre motion snap. I feel a lil bit better with this video ⏺️🎦 on what could be.🤞🏼

To have a Chance of Making Playoffs.
They need to Draft a Really Good QB,
That can Overcome Any Problems that Getsy Offensive Play Calling may bring.
You have to go farther back to get good tape of Gesty! His chicago stint was a dip in his coaching style! Bears dont have the systems inplace we have to support him.
I think Tom Coughlin will have a role in Helping design plays Getsy will be the caller of course .
I think Getsy will be great! Don't let the bears cloud your judgement

As a Bears fan, you will see that Getsy is not a bad playcaller but that Fields held onto the ball too long
Maybe we could bring in Jason Kelce as the new offensive line coach since he's retired now so he could teach how to successfully perform the tush push on short yardage downs.
I wonder if D Adams had any input in Getsy hiring as they have a history in Green Bay .
If we can score above 24+ points a game next year and our defense can continue to play like it did at the end of the season . The raiders will be in good shape

That's all fine and good, but you can cherry. Pick plays from any offensive coordinator and make them look good. There is a reason why Luke getsie was not the raider's first choice. And there's a reason why he was still on the board when we hired him
What is Getsy gonna do with Bowers, Adams, Tucker & Mayer on the field at the Same. And a Solid RB Game, Didnt even bring up Meyers yet. Bowers can lineup FB, Slot & TE

Not defending Getsy but some of those plays its entirely possible the receivers ran the wrong routes. New system, new receivers it happens. Happened a lot with McDaniels, didn't see that with the Patriots. So I'm leaning receivers learning a new system mistakes happen.
How do we know that the receivers were not running the wrong routes? Ultimately, we don’t but we need to take that into consideration.

Not sure the “questionable” play calls are 100% his fault (as far as the spacing of routes and receivers being in the same area). That could also be on the receivers not being aware of how deep/shallow to run their routes
