Something else that I did that's been a huge help for knowing which profile I'm using when I'm already in game and I'm trying to quickly switch profiles without having to open up the controller configuration is change the color of the xbox button for each profile. So for example, I have a profile for NHL and a profile for FPS games. For my NHL profile the xbox guide button is set to my favorite team's color, Dallas Stars green and for the FPS profile it's set to red. It helps a lot because all I have to remember is which color it needs to be for which game and I don't have to open up the configuration to remember if it's saved under slot 1, slot 2 or slot 3.

Sadly I no longer have the Elite remote. I had 3 and all broke on me. Not impressed with the QA on them. The standard controllers fare much better for me. It was RB that went on all the Elites I tried.
This would’ve been one of the best videos explaining the customization of this controller if you would, and the left one thing out, you never mentioned about the thumb sticks tension adjustment….. that’s exactly what I clicked on this video for because I figured he would’ve explained it more in detail, but you didn’t even mention it!?
Right. There’s not much to say about them. It’s covered in the included manual and the change felt so minor to me I didn’t think it was worth covering. Thanks for the feedback though.
*** FYI *** when setting up a new elite controller you have to hit the middle button to select & start using the 3 different Profiles before the paddle buttons will start working! I could not find this info anywhere! 😅😭 hopefully it helps someone

Yeah it's weird they don't offer as much control on the basic controllers. The Elites are lovely. The core is a good buy IMO. You don't need the case or the extra paddle buttons really. In practice I found them uncomfortable and too many buttons to handle.

The vibration seems stronger than a standard controller. Now I've had this one for a while, I find a standard control feels rubbish in comparison. The weight and rubber grips feel very nice.
Could I please ask, is it possible to remap the left and right sticks so that moving the stick left and right on the x-axis is changed. I play legacy sticks and want to use the controller to emulate that scheme for games that do not have it?
question, once you map the paddles to X, Y, etc...does that somehow open up the original X and Y buttons for additional binding, or do you simply have 2 ways of using the X and Y buttons. I play a game which requires alot of keybinds and mapping. it would be nice if this somehow gave me more binds to work with. also, very nice video.
Thanks for the thoughts. Sorry it took a while as I needed to find time to try it. It does free up the X & Y to switch those to other buttons if you wish. However what I don't know is whether such changes will work in all games. That you'd need to test. But in theory the remapping works as you want it to in the setup.
Why does the macro options not allow me to use stick angles? It's a full wheel, not just left, right, up, down. I need to set one to top right and bottom left.

I've never found a need for that fine adjustment on a stick so I've not looked into it much. I can't now either as I have given up on the Series 2. I have had 3 break on me all in the space of a few months. Great though the idea is, the build quality is poor. They need to improve the robustness of them.

Make sure you have the correct profile slot selected. Each of the 3 lights on the front of the controller corresponds to a profile slot. When you press the middle button above the lights, it switches between slots.
Any ideas why the paddles won’t map i have tried to switch b to left top paddle and a to top right and they won’t register. Matter fact any change I try to do to the paddles won’t register the change

Can the vibration settings be set so they are stronger than the regular Xbox controllers? Mainly for driving games like Forza and NFS.

Trying to configure the record and screen shot early sucks. Just got this controller and having a hell of a time and no instructions

It's a great controller, but the Quality still seems iffy. I went through 2 very quickly and the RB button went on both.

Should be possible. I think it's the share function you need. So you could use a paddle as a shift and use shift plus a button for share perhaps?

Not sure. You have a key in the box where you can tighten the left or right stick. Does that help?

I suppose each game needs to support the extra functionality and not all will. You should be able to use the basic buttons in all games though.

How strange. Make sure the controller and xbox have the latest update. My controller needed an update a couple of days ago.
