  • As we head into the holiday season, I'm hearing from more and more parents looking for DIY gift ideas. Encouraging children to make their own gifts by hand is a wonderful way to get them into the giving spirit.
Felted soap bars are a beautiful and practical gift, and as a bonus they're so much fun to make! All ages can take part in this wonderful craft activity. On this week's "Sunday with Sarah," I'll show you how to make your very own felted soap.

Thank you how beautifully you made this video!!! I shared it with my students parents during our distance learning in hopes they will watch and do on their own at home for a father's day craft.

Best soap felting video I've found so far. Great tip about using a thin layer of wool and stretching it out. My first attempt had way too much wool and took forever to "shrink" around the bar. Am going to try your technique for my handmade soaps. Thank you!

Thank you this video was really helpful. I used too much wool and put it in a stocking and it looked awful. You explained so clearly that I will have another go at it. The soap looks beautiful

Just subscribed. Watched another wool soap making video that required a nylon stocking. Have not had one of those around in decades. This seems much easier and therapeutic.

Thank you for this video, I have been trying to think of something our son can make for gifts for the upcoming holidays. After the soap is used up, what can be done with the remaining felt?

I heard that you can slit open the felted cover and insert a new bar of soap. Then add more wool (if necessary) to seal.
