I saw Todd Rungren in Columbia South Carolina in 1976..awesome show..I worked for the Gamecock newspaper the University of South Carolina student newspaper..I was the entertainment writer for the paper and the paper arranged for me to interview Todd and instead of sitting down a interviewing him Todd said to me come on out and party with us and I did and we had a blast! I got home about 8am...Todd and I had a great and I wrote a glowing review! All my best to Todd and to you Dereck!
Awwww great a pull!!! Music is a language we all speak....hear you loud and clear on raising the vibration of this planet of ours, we can! we can!! we can!!!👏🏻✊🏻☮️🎵✊🏻🙏🏻✨🎶☮️
Hey Dereck! Just got home from a amazing concert with Aja Monet. Her poetry is beautiful and so very important! She's really a true artist! Talked to her afterwards as well, so nice! Thanks for your video as always and all the best of luck to your nephew Devin!! Take care! ☮️❤️🎼/Gunnar
I remember buying and listening to Asio Silver's "An (Exit) Upon Entrance" album as part of a Bandcamp Friday. Very good electronic music! I'll look into this new one soon.
Omg Devin is in your wheel well for sure. Love the rhythms and the tune freesol off of Exit is like a lost track to the muse . He has a new fan here. This creative flow is definitely genetic in your family. That's awesome.
My feelings run deep for Todd Rundgren. His fingerprints are all over the soundtrack of my youth. Both his writing/playing as well as his production/arranging of others. Such a great live performer, no matter the era. His early 90’s work “No World Order” was groundbreaking and was the Todd in the Pod tour! For those not familiar or are referencing pop Todd (ie Hello It’s Me, or I Saw the Light), check out “Facist Christ” on No World Order, simply fantastic !
He played “Fascist Christ” last time I saw him, a setlist with mostly deep cuts and very few hits. He doesn’t mind getting into politics and religion, even when it pisses off part of the audience. Courageous artist who plays what he wants, when he wants
Hello Derek. Thanks again for all your musical suggestions. I really liked Urban Verbs the other day. You have spoken several times about the latest Julia Holter, if I may and if you don't have it yet, I recommend "Have You in My Wilderness".
Asio Silver (Devin Higgins) - GreenField Eloine - Moldy Cushions Annea Lockwood - Tiger Balm / Amazonia Dreaming / Immersion Cyberaktif -Temper 12" Ralph Towner with Glen Moore - Trios / Solos Radiohead - Kid A, Amnesia Loving the Mew record you recommended some days ago, writing out your records shown from previous videos and might continue to if it's not unwelcome. Cheers Dereck and thank you ❤
Watched Robert Sapolsky on Light Watkins yt, His take on humans using baboons as an example really summed it up. Baboons have no immediate threats so they drive each other mad with psychological bullying, hierarchy , and tribal favoritism . It’s a great video
Thank you so much Unc! I’m really happy to hear you enjoyed it. Your response never disappoints me and it builds my confidence to another level! ❤!
@@Devins10905 You are very good!

I'm broke.
Just an fyi, the market prices for authentic vintage concert and band t’s are insane. I’m sorry I got rid of mine 😂.
It's so good to spend some time at your place and watching you pull records. It is always nice to see you again! Take care my friend...
@@stephan73 Hello Stephan!
