- Not every week is as productive as you might hope. Most people think when you're in school you almost always will have a summer break... not when you're in grad school. In this video I show a short week in my life of what it's like to be a research assistant and the University of New Mexico working on atmospheric water capture. If you have any questions please leave them in the comments!

Environmental Engineer here !
I am also doing environmental engineering. How do you pike it. Whoch companies do you recommend interning for
Why did you not work after getting bachelors and signing up for grad school after graduation?
I graduated with my bachelors degree in 2020, during the pandemic, and I didn’t want my first job to be remote so I decided to pursue my masters degree since I didn’t mind going to school online ñ and since I got a full ride scholarship!
Just wanted to ask if Environmental Engineers get to do field work or not ??
i'm an enviro eng student, and yes you can do field work! It often goes hand in hand with research or projects for companies. All of my professors have done field work in the oceans, mountains, and even national parks!
I am a civil engineering undergrad student, I am was wondering how you decided what that you wanted to specialize in environmental?
Hi! It was through the coursework at my university. My junior and senior level I took a transportation, water/environmental, and structural class but enjoyed the water and environmental side of civil more so I choose to specialize in that!
Hey
I completed my bachelor degree in environmental science so can I join environmental engineering in master level???
Hi, yes! I believe your background would set you up pretty well! You will still need to take some of those engineering pre-requisites like statics and fluid mechanics if you haven’t done that yet but its very possible to join environmental engineering at a masters level!
what was your bachelors in if you don’t mind me asking? I’m about to graduate with my bachelors in bio and am really interested in environmental engineering but am struggling to find a grad program
My bachelors was in civil engineering, but I think an undergrad in bio would set you up nicely for a masters in environmental engineering!
@@nataliegayoso do you think there is a benefit to getting a bachelors in civil vs environmental?
@@nataliegayosoAt my school, there is 3 classes difference but I'm not sure what I want to do or what I'm more interested in
Doesn't show anything about environmental engineer, just wastes time.
