I lived in Georgia for a while, and during the winter was living/working in the mountains, I'm very sad to have left, it'll forever be a dear home. But I'd like to confirm: it is an amazing place, especially for the hungry backcountry skier. From the massifs of Svaneti (the place this video takes place in), the wilds of Racha, Japow-level deepness of Bakhmaro, and the goofy Wild-Westness of the Gudauri region, it's an easy haven for the send. The history is long, the land is beautiful, the food and wine are good, hangovers are cheap, and most importantly the people are wonderful.
Happy to see it getting some deserved attention, thanks Salomon! (btw, either it was this crew or another, but watched you guys getting sendy at Tetnuldi last year, it was uber fun watching and trailing! Crazy avalanches-all-over-the-place day for sure)

Yep, Georgia is one of the Best country to Sky in Europe! Why?! 1)prices is very low. 2) very safe Top 3 safest country in Europe. 4) very friendly prople 5) food is amazing 6) wine is best of the best 7) night life, clubs, restsurants 24/7

Probably my next ski trip! Sick and tired of dealing with the crowds that just only ruins the mountains or resorts!!! So sad for my dear Whistler since new ownership took over ( Vail ) the vibe isn't the same! I will dearly miss the real Whistler !!!
Not sure about the hair and the glasses, but that guy is definitely a lot better at skiing than me! Another great Dream Trip, love these films from Salomon.

Love those Salomon TV videos. I appreciated the price tag info for the ambulance trip and allergy treatment and observation in hospital for Stan Rey: US $ 43, which would be 100 times (edited, initially I wrote "10 times") that in the US with who knows what kind of battle to wage with the insurance company trying to weasel out of paying anything and "copays" and "deductibles" and "in-network"/"out-of-network".

Poor Americans, so little knowledge out side of home, .....and Mexico.
Of course the locals have seen skiers before, skiing through their village, like the many times we skied there. Americans always believe nothing happens till they show up. Remember this is an ancient country.
To be fair, the village that Z-bo is referring to was Zhamushi, which is far from where you would normally end up if you ski from the resorts. We drove there specifically because they had some good towers - it's not a place you would go to ski. The locals came out to see us and were wondering what we were doing with skis there. We set up a little course through the village and the locals had a good laugh about it.

В Грузии нет никакой пандемии. Незачем распространять вранье! Туристам не грозит опасность. На горнолыжных курортах Грузии половина Европы отдыхает, и у гостей не то что гриппа, а даже высокой температуры не было зафиксировано. За всои слова я отвечаю, так как знаком со многими гидами и владельцами гостиниц.
Границы с Грузией закрываются. Все из-за вспышки гриппа H1N1. На два месяца ограничения ввела Абхазия и до особого распоряжения Южная Осетия. Из-за угрозы проникновения смертельного вируса контроль на границе усилили Россия. Согласно последним данным Минздрава Грузии, жертвами гриппа стали 15 человек. В аптеках выстраиваются огромные очереди, врачи ведут прием круглосуточно. А в соцсетях люди обсуждают, что вирус распространяют искусственно.
