I'm not even joking when I say I had a stewardess like this. Like the female version. We hit turbulence and she said over the speaker "Just a wee pocket of air there, haul out your beads and say a decade of the Rosary and put your belts on." Then she gave us headphones which we thought were free, and hands us the credit card machine "that'll be €10" 😂

I had a Flight Attendant that caught me smoking in the boy's room. She said if she caught me again she would have the mounties escort me off the aircraft and into jail. I quit smoking shortly after.

There was a TV documentary in the 90s called "Airline" which followed the crew of now-defunct airline Britannia. It featured a new male member of cabin crew who was just like this - "yeah I'm a geezer, I'm here to pull some birds" etc. He went to the extent of pointing out that he would be carrying his bag as opposed to pulling it around like a little trolley in order to broadcast that he was straight. I'm not sure if this was the inspiration for Walliams' character but it certainly reminded me of it.
@@adamweaver8936 god yes I remember him and his mate what a knob he was. I was crew in those days and after three years in the ground im going back to the sky. The joke about wheeling the bag or carrying was actually true back then kind of a unsaid thing but older crew will of heard of it. I doubt that matters anymore male crew are not all gay loads of straight guys do the job now I dont think wheeling or carrying bags is nessersary these days lol :)

@@elainemurphy2406 Walliam's idea of going into a character is deciding whether or not to speak with a lisp and/or high voice. That's almost all he does. Lucas is so far beyond him in terms of chops.
The British entertainment industry should do nothing but comedy. They are masters at it.

@@davidlewis1787 Actually they didn't. They had to split because despite all the good work they were doing they kept facing constant accusations and questions about being gay for each other. That's why Walliams dipped out, swam the channel for charity, crushed the children's book world then came back with a 10 model on his arm.
IIRC Matt's (brief) Hollywood film career was just taking off so he wasn't available to do a second series.

i m German and binge watched them n Little Britain and the pilot episode of the then censored "The Real Housewives of ISIS when the shows were still on: British comedy is (or at least was before the narcissist neurotic fakewoke snowflakes took over in UK too) theby far best! Our own politically uberkorrekt leftist "educational" German comedy shows broadcasted on our corrupted n highly biased leftist public TV are unwatchable, unfunny and BORING as hell! I love LB, Come Fly with Me, Catherine Tate, Enfield, Miranda, Tracey Ullman etc etc etc...

Reminds me of a female cabin crew member (stewardess was so much simpler🤗) I had on a recent American Airlines flight. But her attempt at snide humour landed on passengers like a hot ballooon🤬 These guys are class acts compared to her😂

On a Ryanair flight I was too tall to fit in the seat. They offered to move me to a vacant seat with extra legroom for £30. I refused so had to stand the whole flight 😄 😭
