Patek Philippe Ellipse Ref. 3738/1 Automatic Large Bracelet c. Late 1990s

A fine vintage Patek Philippe Ellipse reference 3738/1 in 18k yellow gold, crafted during the late 1990s. Patek Philippe at Watches and Wonders 2024 recently introduced the new reference 5738 Ellipse, a testimony to its enduring legacy. This particular Ellipse is double signed and once retailed by Gubelin : APRIOR/sigma sunburst blue dial signed Gubelin housing gold applied sword-shaped hands and stick hour markers. Oval case measures at 31 mms and is perfectly proportioned with a smooth bezel and slim 6mm silhouette. The 18k yellow gold Patek Philippe bracelet has a thick woven mesh fully integrated into its case and feels robust when worn with an adjustable clasp.
