Almost as cool as Arrow's, The Jacques Rivette Collection box set. Enjoyed watching the unboxing, and the running commentary.
Yeah that's a monster, and I still haven't watched anything from it haha!
You Know, I must be honest. I just purchased this set and I am very happy with it mainly because of the wonderful bonus footage and The Big Boss and Fist Of Fury 4K Remasters but for real tho, The Master Collection of The Big Boss and Fist Of Fury is actually better as far as lighting and clarity. The only take away from it is the greenish tint in the transfer but other than that its the most balanced collection IMO. I was disappointed by The Criterion one tho..
The new footage of game of death is worth the price alone.
Yeah! I keep hearing that. I wish I had that built in expectation and anticipation but I'm at least aware of the significance to fans.
For someone who isn't a big Bruce Lee fan you sure went all out getting this great looking set but I am fine with sticking with the criterion set i have.
Historically he's just an icon of cinema, and this set has treated that legend with such importance, it's a massive release, I had to get it into my collection! Hoping it'll be a good education on his Golden Harvest films for me and offer more insight than I've had previously.
It's a thing of beauty 😍💿👍🎬 the packaging from arrow was terrible thin box 1 bit of bubble wrap on one side luckily mine was good but I know few people got little dents in corners for £120 come on arrow
Yeah their handling of the shipping was absolute dogshit and has left everyone with complete pot luck as to what condition their set will arrive in.
@@RazorwireReviews considering the cost the Bruce Lee boxset it should be wrapped in bubble all around item then bubble in box they know people who buy items like this are collectors, and can get very OCD with things like this 👍💿

Arrow don't do their own shipping. Distribution has been sold off to the faceless conglomerate The Hut Group. Their warehouses ship everything from Arrow blurays to protein powder. The person packaging your expensive limited edition Arrow boxset is no different to someone working on an Amazon line. It's just another product to them.
When you order "directly from Arrow" you're really ordering from The Hut Group. Hence if you ever use the Arrow website "message" system, you end up talking to a conveyer belt of African customer service operators who work for The Hut Group. You're not actually talking to Arrow.
Actual production of the discs etc is Arrow, but beyond that it's all The Hut Group and they cut every corner to save money. Cheap packaging. Shoddy websites. Presumably underpaid foreign customer services.
Ordering "directly from Arrow" is a façade. It doesn't exist. It's just The Hut Group. Boycott them. Get your Arrow items elsewhere.

The others do have artwork under the disc. Not just Game of Death. You say it’s weird that the others don’t but GoD does but you didn’t even check 😂
As I say, it's not a comprehensive unboxing because dozens of people have covered every inch of the set in better detail and from much deeper knowledge than I could manage. I quite like that those artwork pieces were essentially "hidden" behind some of the discs, a nice surprise later on through the set!
i am definitely interested in Fist of Fury and Enter the Dragon in 4k. The rest not so hot on them.
Worth noting Enter the Dragon is not in 4K on this set, it's the 2013 WB blu-ray. WB are putting out their own 50th anniversary 4K release of Enter the Dragon in a few months I believe.
Also got mine from their shop, shipped to Germany. Packaging was ridiculous. Box is OOOOOK, not great conditionwise.

It's not "their shop". Arrow sold out to The Hut Group.

Your expensive boxset is just another product and will be handled as such. That won't change unless The Hut Group decide to cut ties with Arrow.
Boycott them. Get your Arrow stuff elsewhere.
I'm so annoyed. I pre ordered mine when it was announced and it arrived very damaged, now its unavailable!
That's horrible :( Some of us got lucky, some didn't. DiabolikDVD got their stock in of the set and were not happy with the condition with a lot of them too. Total shit show.
I really really want this but the price is too high currently, hope it doesn't sell out!
Given the non-commital response and lack of stating the print run, I'm pretty sure it'll be around for quite some time.

The Arrow exclusive version, very likely yes. I have a feeling the red boxes will be around for a fair bit though.
Too bad WB didn’t allow Arrow to have the theatrical cut of Enter the Dragon :(
They are doing their own anniversary 4K.

I think I might end up Frankensteining the Arrow set and putting the 4K of Enter the Dragon in there at some point...
I had it preordered and cancelled it. Waiting for a sale. Shaw brothers set dropped fast after it came out

Just my thoughts here... I disagree with those claiming that this is the best Bruce Lee boxed set around. The only reason they deserve credit for is that they've finally transferred his movies to 4K; and the fact that they've also included the full GOD out-takes footage even though the newly dubbed dialog sounds cheesy.
Two major nitpicks...
!: The art work is fantastic and beautifully illustrated, however, it's real stupid that they edited the Way of the Dragon inner sleeve art work and emitted the nunchaku, however, they didn't emit the nunchaku on the GOD cover, they've more or less invalidated the sets authenticity even though the customer is paying for a so called Collectors Edition boxed set.
2: I don't care what people say about the movie but Game of Death II doesn't deserve to be in that box set as it is NOT a Bruce Lee movie regardless of them using snippets of footage from Bruce's other films. There are better Bruce Lee look-a-like movies out there that deserve this slot with actors like Dragon Lee or Bruce Li being two of the best in Bruce-ploitation movies at that time.
