My grandpa used to sing this to me, now I sing it to my little ones
Same
So proud of my Heritage I hope my kids will show theirs this kinda music đźđč
I miss my parents.Til' the day they passed, they were 50's people and that was a good thing. I was born in '62, but I'm a '50's person too.Don't get me wrong, I tore it up in the '70's/'80's, but I have a hard time living in the current world. Too fast, impersonal, & unfriendly. I miss the simple pleasures in life. I thank God for my upbringing and for the old So.Cal. life my sainted parents gave me. Love Louis, Keely & Sam...baby!
I feel the same way
You're my dad's age. For what it's worth I don't feel like I belong in today' day and age either. You guys had it right and I wish you the best.
This was my Dad's favorite singer, we had this song played at his funeral service, he passed away December 28th 2010... Was 87, served 21 years in the United States Army, served in Korea, was the best and most fun Dad ever, I am thinking of him always but especially on this Father's day, I miss him dearly.. R.I.P. Joe Warrick...This song makes me smile and think of him
God Bless you and your father, he seemed like a good man.
Mary Warrick - Your post hit me like a ton of bricks. Just like your Dad, my Dad was a Korean War veteran..and he worked for the Navy for 38 years. My Dad passed in 2015. Weren't our Dads great guys?! My Dad was strict as heck, but he was a good dude too. Danced like L.P. in "Just a Gigolo"- what a goober! May our two "salts" are tossing a few together in paradise. I pray to the God I love they are. Take care, Gabes
This is great and made my day đ
Rip....separate cheques x
It's good you got to know him.
My pop passed in 1983 at 31. I'm 41 now and so very thankful to be alive.
I lost my virginity to this song on my own account.
Tell ya right now, you talk about the wildest!
Boooooyyyyyy! đâ€
I can't believe that some folks dislike this classic
feins
They just have no taste in music.
I'm a Jazz singer, and this just gave me a great idea for a Valentine's Day surprise for my baby :)
"ain't got no money, glass of plain water fo' me."

This is good quality music. No synthesizers or special effects sound. The composition and the writing of this type of music was original.
Love his music ! Put's a smile on my face every time .I would have loved to have seen him and Keely Smith in Vegas back in the day .
Funny and catchy! All of Louie Prima's music was like listening to pure happiness in song form.
Teacher: no eating in class
Kids in the back of the room:
What an under valued genius talent, love his stuff, met him in Vega, wonderful host for his audiences.
I'll bet he's playing first chair in the trumpet section in heaven.
This is an absolutely wholesome song.
yesss
I grew up with this couple always playing in my house...my mom saw every show they did in Lake Tahoe and got to know them. She said they were great fun. It shows. I love this!
SUPERB! One of the best old video clips ever. Louis... the King of the Swingers, and Keely with that great deadpan look. LOVE IT!
I can hear a little of "Doxy" in this song. Great fun song! Louis Prima had so much soul and his beautiful wife Keely was gorgeous as well as super talented!!!
This is great music from a legendary artist.
That was absolutely classy and plain delightful.
Never better said making sound easy what is sophisticated as 'it'
I've been listening to tons of Louis Jordan and this popped up in my algorithm - I'm so happy it did!
Great scene from a great movie. It is a shame they had to divorce because they were great together. Thanks for sharing!
this was my Grandfather's favorite song >^-^< brings back so many memories!!!
Louis and Keely were made for each other. Good times. Thanks for the memories.
Great song. Catchy rhythm, clever lyrics. elements of blues and jazz - well done, indeed!
Yup the music style is called Swing! A period of jazz (the best in my opinion) that spanned from 1920's to late 1940's!
Are sure this is swing? Isn't this an American standard
American Standards can be many genres, like this which is Swing. it's just not as fast a melody as most Swing but you can still swing dance to it.
I'm talking about swing as a music style/genre. Not the dance, I think this song would go under American standards
Let's agree to disagree, IMHO American Standards can be many genres, like this which is Swing.

I swear you can hear Keely singing background, even though she's not lip-synching here. Interesting. Love them.
