I just met Henry Winkler yesterday! Quite honestly the nicest guy ever!
Bobby’s coach, Henry Winkler was once the most famous person in America. He played “the Fonz” on the TV show Happy days. He was bigger than Elvis in his time.
Calling the Big Show "Jason Samoa" had me rolling for a solid 5 minutes

Hello Octobers!😊 Nice to see you crazy kids! Adam Sandler tends to use some of his friends in his films. He does it here with a couple of them as players and other characters. His fellow SNL cast member Rob Shneider is the one that talks about decapitating people. Bobby's first coach is actor/singer Jerry Reed. He was big in the 80s in the "Smokey & the Bandit" films with Burt Reynolds. His second coach is actor Henry Winker from the 70s - 80s sitcom "Happy Days" as "The Fonz". His mom is Kathy Bates, probably best-known for the film "Misery" (1990) which I believe she won an Academy Award for. Bobby's girlfriend (Fairuza Balk) which his momma calls a witch actually played a witch two years earlier in the popular film "The Craft" (1996). My all-time favorite Adam Sandler film has to be "Happy Gilmore" (1996). You should definitely check it out sometime. Great reactions to this very entertaining Sandler film, October Kids!!!!🎬👏👏👏👏

Not sure if anyone has pointed this out but the guy who played Red Beaulieu was the late great Jerry Reed who played The Snowman in Smoky and the Bandit and is also from Atlanta.
Mama’s house is located just outside of Debary FL. I had to drive past it on the way to my sisters house on the lake before she moved. It still looked the same last time I was there in 2004. Cheers

That Wrestler on TV (@04:40) is actually Paul Wight, better known as "The Big Show!" The obnoxious Coach Beaulieu was played by the Late-&-Great Jerry Reed; the man was also a Country Singer IRL, and co-Starred in one of My Favorite Movies of all time: "Smokey and the Bandit!"🤠

Coach Klein’s (Henry Winkler) most famous role was from the 70s sitcom playing The Fonz, where he was the coolest dude in the country on television. Seems like he’s played nothing but dorks since then.
That’s where the term jumping the shark comes from about when a TV show can no longer come up with a good storyline and starts to do ridiculous stuff like where the Fonz literally jumped over a shark while water skiing.

This is the very first Adam Sandler movie I have ever watched. I remember being grounded, and my dad decided that since I'm grounded, he'd let me watch a movie with him and my sisters. Hence, my introduction to Adam Sandler was because I was grounded lol

If you know who Kurt Angle is, how do you not know The Big Show? He was a wrestler in the WWE from 1999 to 2021 & WCW before that. His real name is Paul Wright. He played Captain Insano. Also, the guy who is hard to understand said only one sentence that I understood in the whole movie yet you didn't understand him. He said, "We live to play another day." I have no idea what you said when you tried repeating it.
P.S. Roy Orbison is a legend. What is wrong with getting a tattoo of him? I feel like you disrespected him.

The mean coach is played by Jerry Reed. He was an amazing guitar player and singer. I met him years ago and he was the nicest guy ever. He talked to me about guitar and his other movie smokey and the bandit for like 20 minutes.

Adam Sandler is pretty good at sneaking emotional moments into his movies. So don't be surprised if in about half his films you find yourself tearing up at some point.
BTW, just so you know ... the Rotten Tomatoes list of his best movies has this one at #26, and the line on it is: "Critics Consensus: This is an insult to its genre with low humor and cheap gags."

Mr. October your family is from Louisiana? I was born and raised in the boot and I still live here. Grew up in New Orleans and kinda just moved up over time. I lived in Lafayette for a few years then moved to Shreveport and that’s where I currently live. I never knew you were from Louisiana.

The Longest Yard is one of my favorite Sandler movies. Not a comedy full stop, though it is funny, but its just an over all great movie. Highly reccomend!

I've seen so many knock Adam Sandler movies because of the gags and stupid humor. You have a hard week at work and just want to go out and laugh, be entertained and blow off steam. Nothing deeper than that. Sometimes is easier to face life when you can just forget about it awhile. Some people just need to climb off the high horse and chill out.

@@TheOctobersReact If you're being Serious.. Happy Days was a TV show that ran from 1974 to 1984.. 11 seasons.. It was a super hit .. Ron Howard was the main star.. Then Henry Winkler blew up as The Fonz. Also Scott Baio got his start there. It's a fixture of pop culture . The phrase "jumping the shark" came from that show.
happy gilmore,grandmas boy, thats my boy,billly maddison and wedding singer are some of the best for laughs. If you want to change it up Jack black has a movie called Tenacious D the pick of destiny. You cant go wrong with any of these for laughs. how ever if you want to switch it up completely and go for something different. 2 of my favorites are Amelie and across the universe. Amelie is french however the style and story are heartwarming and a feel good movie. Across the universe tells a story based in the 60s and 70s using beetles songs, it sounds crazy but its awesome. Tenacious D is jack blacks band which is hilarious however the movie is a comedy about 2 guys trying to create the worlds most awesome band etc.
If you wanna watch some Adam Sandler movies I recommend: Happy Gilmore, Mr Deeds, Big Daddy and Click :D

It's a very old tale of sexual extortion, if you ever want to get adventurous.
The play the coach is making in his delusional state at the 6:55 mark would have been awesome if that play was used for the final touchdown of the game. You know, after he's back to normal and fixes any problems with it.

Adam Sandler movies as good as or better than Water Boy - The Wedding Singer, Anger Management, 50 First Dates, & Little Nicky. Other good ones are Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison, Big Daddy, Pixels, The Longest Yard, Mr. Deeds, & Airheads.

This is about 8 months too late, but there are quite a few Adam Sandler movies that are damn hilarious. If you haven't seen Happy Gilmore you're definitely doing yourself a disservice. Big Daddy and Mr. Deeds I'd say are also worth a watch. Plus Billy Madison, and though he wasn't the star of Dirty Work, that one is fucking HILARIOUS. It's got everyone in that movie, including Chevy Chase and Chris Farley.
