I'm from South Africa I might not no much about the Muslims or the NOI but I can tell you that from the 100+ videos of Louis Farrakhan,Malcolm, Elijah and imam Warath . This interview was about 2 hours long. Y'all got 10 minutes in the middle of the interview and y'all think y'all got total understanding. Minister Farrakhan, humbly I say this, has no equal. Name one man, that is living, that can ask a million men to show up and 2 million men show up. And ask again for a half a million people to show up a million show up. He's done that twice. I judge a tree by it's fruit and Minister Farrakhan has NOT sold his soul or sold out his people to the enemy unlike many of his peers. I stand with Farrakhan.

Hello, I just wanted to kindly reply to your comment. The truth is that Louis Farrakhan is not preaching orthodox Islam. According to Islamic doctrine, NOI members are not Muslims because of several things. For example, believing that there is a Messenger after Prophet Muhammad(peace be upon him) eliminates you from the fold of Islam. Believing that God came down to Earth(in the form of W.D Fard or any one else) only takes you out of the fold of Islam. Warith Deen Muhammad(may Allah have mercy on him) was a true follower of Islam. As a student of Al-Islam since 1974, this is my assessment:
1. I'm extremely grateful for The Honorable Sister Clara Muhammad. Why? She was the one who brought The Honorable Elijah Muhammad to Master Farad Muhammad in the first place.
2. I believe Brother Malcolm X is the greatest Orator and organizer that came from Classical NOI... There are many pictures of The Honorable Louis Farrakhan, literally, looking up to Brother X.
3. As The Honorable Louis Farrakhan said himself (in this interview), The Honorable Imam W.D. Mohammed was charged to perform critical analysis of the Quran. Farrakhan was right! As he said, and I've seen the picture on google, you will see Master Farad Muhammad looking into the Quran. The Honorable Elijah Muhammad is "sitting". The Honorable Imam W.D. Mohammed is "standing"! The Imam has his "right" hand on his dad. And is hold the "Quran" in his left hand!
The Honorable Elijah Muhammad did not charge the Honorable Louis Farrakhan or The Honorable Malcolm X to perform critical analysis on the Quran.
He charged The Honorable Imam W.D. Mohammed with this assignment!
I believe the Quran is the most powerful book on the planet. If this is true, what effect did the Quran have on the Honorable Imam W.D. Mohammed?
In this regard, as a student of the Quran, The Honorable Imam W.D. Mohammed had no equal within the Nation of Islam!

After Elijah Muhammad died and the NOI ended, Farrakhan was a traditional Muslim (sunni) for a few years but I think he wanted to be more a leader rather than a follower so he started up the NOI again

@excaliba360 I'm afraid that you are not really familiar with the NOI's teachings. Read their original books from the 50s and 60s and there are numerous instances of Farad Muhammad being referred to as Allah, as the All-Knowing God, etc. etc. There are also the testimonies of thousands of former NOI members (the original ones from the 50s) who will tell you that they were taught that Master Farad Muhammad was Allah. This might be an embarassing doctrine now, but history cannot be changed.
@AliYourBrother And yes, I as a Sunni Muslim do accept that there is a hadith with a sahih chain of transmission that reports "Qur'an and Ahle Bait" (instead of "Qur'an and Sunna"). That is not a problem for me as a Sunni. We accept and respect Imams Ali, Hasan, Hussain, Jafar as-Sadiq, and so on (just not in the way that Shias understand these same people and their roles).

@AliYourBrother We have a hadith (which has been transmitted to us *in the same way that the Quràn has been transmitted to us*-- through multiple chains of narration going back to the Companions of the Prophet) in which the Prophet states explicitly that he is the last MESSENGER (Rasool) as well.
As a Bahá’í I contest that Muhammad is the final Messenger. Actually on the contrary he said more Messengers will come, Surah 7:35 “Oh children there shall come to you Messengers rehearsing my signs”, Muhammad MPBUH is the Seal of the prophets but not the last Messenger.
But this version is a crackpot version of Islam, if the Mahdi did return I don’t think He would return for a select minority lol.

I believe that Fard realized that traditional Islam during that juncture in the African American experience wouldn't have hit home. Or galvanized the masses in the way the NOI doctrine would.
