  • Writing my first resignation letter, quitting my job for real? I go to the Bartlett as a critic on the crit panel which was a very cool experience. I also start juggling between 2 potential roles at 2 companies that I applied for.
This video was filmed back in March 2023, so many things have happened since then. As of now, I have actually already quit my job, but I wanted to record these mini $$$ diary series to record changes in my life, especially in my mindset shifts and career shifts. More episodes to come (filmed after this one!) Stay tuned if you are interested, and I completely understand if my videos are no longer of interest to you đŸŒ±

I just quit my architecture internship. We do work like robots it's kind of the industry norm at least in China. Everyone work like around 12hr/day, it gets worse if they are submitting bid projects with lots of competing firms. I'm starting dfpi masters at Bartlett soon, hopefully I can get a small break from traditional architecture and figure out what I want to do in the future. I wish you good luck. You're videos are very inspiring.

Hi glory! I just got accepted to Bartlett BSc Arch 🎉 I was wondering if I could ask you some questions about Bartlett as I’m still deciding on which uni to go to :)
    1. Is the workload too heavy to the point where you felt down or was it too challenging at times that you didn’t enjoy your time at Bartlett?
    2. I got a 3 out of 7 in Math Standard Level in IB, so I am very much mediocre in maths, do you think that it would be challenging for me at Bartlett?
    3. After graduating with a BSc from Bartlett considering that masters take 2 years, does it take 5 to be a registered architect? How does it work in general after you graduate?
I realized I had too many questions sorry to bother :)

      2. The only thing in architecture that requires a bit of math knowledge is when you use grasshopper. I assume most BAarch programs in the UK don't force students to fully understand and use that plugin so don't worry😂 I survived my BAarch at CSM without using that thing. I'm not certain if that's the case for Bartlett. Also most of my classmates don't use it either. 3.after you finish BAarch which takes 3years in the UK, and if you are from the UK ,you have to work for at least one year. However, most MA course would waive that one year work experience if you are an international student. After MA you have to work more under supervision approved by riba, and then take a part 3 exam. Then u become architect. It takes about 7-9years to become registered architect I think. good luck.
