Multilevel Spondylosis is not a condition itself. It refers to the degeneration of multiple levels or sections of the spine.
The spine is divided into the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine; each section is made up of vertebrae separated by intervertebral discs. Spondylosis can most commonly occur in the cervical spine, where we can see a loss of lordosis. The lumbar spine is another place where we can see Spondylosis happen.
It's severe form can be severe degeneration extending and causing an unnatural amount of degeneration along the spine. Where we see multiple areas affected, we refer to multi-leveled degenerative Spondylosis.
What usually causes us to see multilevel Spondylosis usually has something to do with the alignment or pressure of different areas of the spine. Usually, trauma can cause the spine to shift out of alignment. Which, over time, would cause the area to degenerate faster than the surrounding areas of the spine.
Asymmetrically carrying excess weight, chronic poor posture, and sedentary lifestyles can increase the risk of injury, which can lead to Spondylosis.
The first things that go through degeneration when the spine is not in proper alignment are the intervertebral disc. When not properly aligned, they lose the healthy cushioning between them and lead to friction and degeneration.
Spondylosis needs to be treated proactively to help prevent its progressive nature and the effects it can have on spinal function. Preventing further degeneration by dealing with its cause which is commonly related to the alignment of the spine; if we can get proper alignment closer to normal, we can slow degeneration or stop it altogether.
The Scoliosis Reduction Center offers practice treatment driven by addressing this alignment issue which is the underlying cause of Spondylosis.

8:02 Thanks for posting this explanation. There’s so much on my MRI that I don’t understand so this was very helpful. I wish you were closer. Can’t afford to visit FL and I don’t know if Medicare covers chiropractic for scoliosis. Thankfully my pain has subsided once again after PT but only God knows for how long.

Can a hard forward fall affect your spine? I fainted once from a drug interaction and fell forward on a hardwood floor and broke my nose. I had to have a few stitches but the hospital said it wasn't broken. The next day they called back to say that it was broken. I had to wait for them to re-break my nose and perform rhinoplasty and septoplasty two months later. I started having back problems in 2017 and told I had a fracture in my spine that looked to be 20 years old. I couldn't remember ever having a fall except that time. Since I was passed out I didn't feel any back pain then or afterwards so I can't understand how I could fracture my spine and not have any pain from it. Nevertheless I have excruciating pain now in the lower back and 2 years ago was diagnosed with lumbar scoliosis. The pain is horrible especially on my right side and the rib area underneath my arm.
I was checked for scoliosis as a child at school and told I didn't have it so I'm just trying to determine if something happened to me to cause this. The part about the fracture also concerns me when and how that happened. Thank you for your help.

I am in California Los Angeles county. Is there any9one I can see over here that is a specialist for scoliosis that you recommend? I wish I was able to see you! I have a spine doctor but I would like to see a chiropractor who specializes in scoliosis. I was just diagnosed with degenerative thoracolumbar scoliosis (mild). I have so much pain though. I am doing PT and I do feel better but I don't know how long this will last :(
