    I'm blown away here. I have very limited movement when looking up. I just did the exercises there with the towel and I could not believe how much more range of movement I had with the support of the towel. Thank you guys. I'll be adding this to my ever increasing list of exercises you have me doing for different issues. You're literally changing my life here. I have a spring in my step the last two days which I haven't had in years. The reason? I've been following your exercises for S.I. pain. Only for a few days now. The pain level has gone down so much and it's not there at all when I walk. No flare ups after walking for 10 minutes. It was the luckiest day ever when I stumbled across homespa beauty channels video on your massage gun, and she spoke so highly of you that I had to check out your channel. Talk about a blessing. Thank you so much Bob and Brad. I love ye to bits forever x And so do my kids. Big hugs from Ireland.

    I have ankylosing spondylitis among many things. and I'm growing bone spurs. Calcifying and i have a bone spur growing at the endplate and told it can eventually cut off my nerves. I stopped the meds they were giving to make me sicker. Started a healthy eating lifestyle (not Standard American Diet which abbrev. Is 😔 S.A.D.) bc they found myeloma. So by $topping sugar gluten anything processed. along with daily stretches exercises and i run 2 grandbabies daily. My myeloma markers are now low. Considered Mgus. Which means cancer didnt grow. Also Fasting 16 hrs a day and 2 healthy meals within 8 hrs helps 2 restart your immune system. They wanna shut my immune system off. Not the answer btw. I also started "breaking off" the calcified areas or lessening the spurs on my knees and feet increasingly. These stretches are good for lymphedema 2 . It pumps the nodes in neck. Thanks 4 your info.

    💙 In the future could you please clarify that overtucking without sufficiently elongating the neck can create equally severe problems? Thanks as always guys

    • @ColonelCampbellAI2024
      @ColonelCampbellAI2024 Před 2 lety

      "Do NOT tuck chin fully, especially with craniocervical extension as it may narrow the AtlantoStyloid Interval (ASI). 'Elongate' the neck without overextension or flexing craniocervical junction (head) to maintain/promote a broad ASI. (Osar 2012, Larsen 2018c)
      Continuous tucking causes styloid process to shift down & back, narrowing the (ASI), (neurovascular bundle IJV + CN9-12 transmits through). Compression may cause intracranial hypertension, chronic fatigue, orthostatic disorders, vision impairment, audiovestibular disorders, etc. (Jayaraman 2012, Higgins 2015, 2017, Larsen 2018c).
      Biomechanical, extracranial stenosis of Internal Jugular (IJV), an increasingly recognized problem, frequently occurs between the atlas & styloid process. May occur as sequela of forward atlantal subluxation, as well as due to intermittent, positional obstruction. (Larsen 2018c, Gweon 2011, Dashti 2012, Higgins 2015, 2017, treningogrehab.no/atlas)
      Intracranial hypertension is shown problematic despite normal lumbar punctures & cerebral MRI scan. (May cause depression, severe fatigue, orthostatic headache, tachycardia, etc. [Higgins 2015, 2017, Larsen 2018c]). Subsequent chronic venous congestion may strain dural membrane to perforate, resulting in CSF leakage & intracranial HYPOtension.

    I'd like to see a video on ankalosing spondylitis. My dad was recently diagnosed and told that his kids probably have it, too. I almost certainly do. Plus fibromyalgia, too, most likely. I've seen the videos on fibromyalgia. I'd love to see one on AS, too. Even if I can't do the exercises, I'd like to hear about it.

    • @renel7303
      @renel7303 Před 3 lety +3

      Possibly, not probably. I hope that gives you a glimmer of sunshine. Ask your doctor for an HLA B27 blood test. It's a genetic marker that will indicate a higher than normal chance of you getting this. Trust me you want to know. I was diagnosed with it March 2020 after 18 months of testing. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia the previous October but they considered that mild. I was shocked when the HLA b27 came back positive. I was tested 30 years ago and wasn't told it was positive so I wasn't keeping an eye on it. My mom had it, she died of complications from it at age 61. Physical therapy will be of benefit for your dad. This is a disability so if it is of benefit to him he can get a handicapped parking placard for the bad days. Best for him to walk farther on the good days. It's has a high inflammatory component. An anti inflammatory diet will help. I recently tried something called Whole30. After the 30 days my allergies were mostly gone, my sinuses were clear with both nostrils open, something I'm not used to. My back pain was gone. My AS is manifesting as a 15 degree scoliosis just below my waist. I was sleeping with a small travel pillow under my knees which helped the pain. I had moved it to under my right buttock, the opposite side, as I'm curving to the left. This seems to have put very gentle traction on the problem vertebrae. The combination of dietary changes and that traction have worked wonders. My Rheumatologist PA is handling me. Her aunt has AS so it matters to her. Both she and the pain management doctor I went too believe I may be able to control this without the typical drugs which she refers to as "poison". There is an Ankylosing spondylitis association, a website called creaky joints and the arthritis association which all have good information. My friend has fibromyalgia as does her daughter. Friend's niece has AS and has it completely under control by diet changes as well. I spoke with the niece's mom and they had all done Whole30. That really encouraged me. On paper the 30 day program sounds crazy but it wasn't difficult, just delicious foods I fixed. Best of luck to you and your dad.

      @@renel7303 Thank you so much for this kind reply! 🤗 For my siblings, the word possibly would be correct. In my case though, I would say almost certainly. I have actually been experiencing serious symptoms of this for far longer than my dad has. Knowing what's wrong with me would actually be a huge beem of sunshine for me. 🌤
      I stopped going to the doctor many years ago. Before they finished diagnosing me. At that point they all said that I had something autoimmune going on. But they never found out which one(s) it was. This fits my symptoms exactly, though. Even down to the unusual ones like problems with my eyes. Since it has a genetic component and my dad has it, I'm thinking that's probably what I have, too.
      If this is considered a disability that would be a godsend for me. I haven't been able to support myself because of this. I currently don't have any health insurance, though, or ability to pay for insurance or medical care. Including diagnosis. And I agree with you in not wanting to take their poisons. But knowing for sure what is wrong with me would be so nice. And disability would be awesome.
      Interestingly enough, I have scoliosis, too. (Diagnosed with x-rays years ago.) I'm not actually disgnosed with fibromyalgia. But it's one of the things that the doctors suggested when they were trying to figure out what was wrong with me years ago. Or possibly Lyme Disease. They never decided.
      I tried to treat whatever this is myself with diet and herbs, too. I do have serious issues with inflamation as well as the obvious stuff like arthritis and bone spurs. But no diet that I have tried helped me very much. Even very healthy all natural diets. I actually gave up this past year and ate whatever I wanted if I was going to feel bad no matter what I ate anyway. And gained a bunch of weight for the thr first time in my life. Oops.
      I do hope to find a diet that helps me. I think that moving out to a big piece of land in the forest would help me a ton, too. Get away from the toxins of our society. (which is my goal/plan) In the meantime, I'm just trying to get by.
      My dad is actually doing quite well. He's a pretty tough guy and is effected pretty minimally by most stuff. And he has heath coverage through the VA, so he's on meds that he says help him a lot. I'm glad for him that he isn't suffering too much.
      I hope I didn't sound too negative. And I do appreciate all your kind words. Thank you! And I'm ad that you have gotten your symptoms at least mostly under control. 🤗

      If you don't sleep alone (you and another one on the bed), you could try switching positions (if you sleep always on the right side od the bed, now try sleeping in the left side).
      OR sleep backwards (if you sleep always on the right side of the bed, now, still in the right side, sleep with your head where the feet go, and feet where head usually goes).
      CHOSE ONE (I prefer backwards), not both, if you do both you are just in the same alignment than before.
      Note that if you sleep with someone, it would only work with the weight of your bed buddy. We're trying to reproduce the same forces but in opposite direction.
      Hope it helps.

    This may be a longshot, but anyone know what might cause this?
    - Pain in a certain point in the left side of the back of the neck and basically some nerve are aching all the way from where the neck connects with the head down to the shoulder blade. If massaged or stretched something gets irritaded and it will start to both tingle and feel irritated into the left arm, down to the chest and the shoulder blade. This reaction may also be triggered spontainously, even if laying down.
    - Pain an inch below the left jaw (almost where the jaw meets the ear), this point may be irritated if massages or even touched and may radiate up to the left cheek and between temple and ear. It will come to the point where it feels like a power drill drilling right into a point between the left temple and ear.
    - All pain in neck (both back and front), face and head are only on the left side.
    It has gone 2 years and it keep getting worse. Since may the progression has increased in velocity and now it is getting worse for every week. I have tried a chiropractor, acupuncture, deep tissue massage, physical therapy, MRI of brain och neck (the discs look fine). When tried physically therapy last week it caused me so much pain I actually got a fever, lost some of my feeling in my left side of the body and down to my bottom (even genitalia), it took days before the feel was coming back and it felt like a large bruise an inch below the jaw which pained extremely when touched and the neck was extremely sour and stiff and all noise caused an ice picking pain in the head. No doctor seems to know what it is. Every search on a pinched nerve in the neck results in "Cervical Spondylosis", but my discs are fine. Can the nerve become pinched for years without disc problems?
