- North American Railcar Operators Association & Northern Central Railcar Association ride on the Everett Railroad on April 13, 2013. Seen here at a grade crossing just outside Roaring Springs PA. WWW.NARCOA.org, www.ncraspeeders.org
So many speeders - I thought they would never end! Great show - thanks!
That looks like an excellent hobby and a whole lot of fun.
I could just imagine being in a car waiting for all these tiny speeders to go by 🤣
Such a shame that we can't do this over here in the UK. Network Rail and the HSE would have a heart attack if a group tried to organise a trip along a route using nothing but Wickham Trolleys!
This looks amazing fun indeed and I have watched quite a few of these videos recently. Got to try and head over one day to witness these things! Loved the Mini by the way. It was the first type of car I ever drove when I had passed my driving test and had fun travelling around the country in it.
I'd give most things to get one and do it out like the one in this video!
Excellent footage
There was at least one abandoned railway in Kent when I lived in the Medway towns during the mid-'90s. I'm afraid that by now it's probably been turned into a walking route. (Not necessarily a bad thing, mind you; I was a member of The Ramblers...) There are many eminently rideable tourist and abandoned railways all over the US. I'm going to buy a speeder some time in the next couple of years, after obtaining a big diesel pickup truck and trailer to haul it. If you show up at a NARCOA-sponsored ride and I'm there, I'd be happy to have you ride along!
😊😊😊
I just about fell off my chair when the Mini came buy. Gonna have to remember that.
Its Ideal, seats 4 comes self propelled with heater, lights, horn & reverse, plus could push or pull a broken down home market one.. Sorted as we say in the UK then.. Oh, wheres your huge yank tanks on them tracks, err, let me see now...lol.. each to there own buddie eh..lol
I grew up right next to the Burlington right of way at Grand Crossing. We called these things put puts😎 the guys would haul out the manual version from time to time. My great grandfather was a conductor on the Zepher and we could see the roundhouse from our back door. 70 years later I again live a stone's throw from the BNSF yards😎
"Hey guys !!! , everybody reverse speed fast!!, John forgot to call dispatch and here comes the train!"
Gotta love that Mini. Also the large gang cars.
Esses veículos de manutenção da estrada de ferro são fantástico aqui no meu bairro sempre passava um verde em alta velocidade e as vezes parava do nada. Abraço! Rio de Janeiro capital
This is the first time I'm EVER seeing this
what powered them, the way i hear and see white smoke a little bit and engine sound ... nice video
I love this idea oh wonderfull trains & cars best of rail road brilliant video i lick
Brilliant video ! 👍
Как весело катят эти машинки. Большое спасибо автору ролика и организатору этого зрелища.
Great show thanks.
This is awesome 🚂
Man that looks like a great time.
But they always look so serious.
Love from India
If I saw them at a railroad crossing I would burst out laughing. So cool, I didn't know these existed.
My younger days I lived near railway track and seen many cars like that. They made these for inspecting the railway tracks and maintenance. Now I see Pickup trucks doing the same job with these wheels.
Bizarre world of railroad like a dream.
I love this idea, great
What a great fun day out ! 🇬🇧
I loved seeing all of these. I have never seen this many or types. We especially like them when we were small boys in a town with two railroads. We called them puttputts back then.
Hey, the yellow speeder at the 4:07 mark looks exactly like the one that was at the Pioneer Tunnel somewhere around August 14 of 2012.
I can`t stop watching ,I just can`t
I had a typo mistake while typing narcos and now I am here
Awesome just loved the mini in the mix. atb from NZ
ideal for the job, 4 seater, dry, warm, forwards or revers, lights, horn, simple but magic
Fiquei encantada nunca tinha visto esse carinhos sobre os trilhos são Paulo capital Brasil
So much fun, but also the weirdest thing ever:)
Yes. And your point is...? Haha! The weirdness quotient is one of the many aspects of rail speeders that appeals to me.
I subscribed to support you. Joe from Germany. 😀😀😀
Legendary.
Very nice! Thumbs up 👍👍👍
Narcoa speeders are fun. Greeting from Indonesia.

Omg very very cool little units what is the state and city or town is this in
Growing up on the Gogebic/Penokee Iron Range of Upper Michigan and Northern Wisconsin, we always referred to these as "put-puts" which is now the term we have given to our Polaris Ranger UTV. Why not?
I was on the Fairmont behind the Green NYC speeder at 3:53
But what is broken?
Awesome video! I have a video with a speeder pulling a privy. Have you ever seen that before?
awesome
Nice!!!
I'm seeing this type of vehicle for the first time in my life I.
Where can I get one of those?
If I had one of those I would be tooting my horn all the time.
Are these privately owned? Is this an unused line? How far did they go and where are they kept?
These are all privately owned. There are clubs and organizations such as NARCOA, NEREX, and WCRG that organize runs on railroad's trackage. I'm not sure how long this run was, but most are one to two day runs. I keep my car on its trailer in my driveway, but others keep them in garages, or anywhere there is space for them.
I Love this product & Idea for Indian traffic for best.
Was not expecting to see a Mini ngl
Best of railroad
Yes, the real old Mini was real cool. When I was in high school, (graduated 1969) one of my classmates in Metal shop, had one of the real old Mini's. A friend of mine had an Austin, which looked like a Mini. I love these Speeders.
What are those things? Some kind of track inspector? Pretty cute looking!
Excellent ! Who knew 😀
Very nice where is this please give detail thanks
I never knew what these were officially called. They were always putt putts when I was a kid
makes me think of the tak taks they drive in the Philippines and other parts of asia
Very nice video, likes from me!!!
lol @ 01:18 - love the Thomas one!
WONDERFUL. The guys waiting on the road must have been saying"WTF?"
I know!!
Those people in the normal cars are probably a bit confused.
...and not simply confused but more like "WTF, how many more of these are coming?!?" LOL
Yes... because the railspeeders have designs like for example a thomas and cat rail speeder
2013, now 2022, by now surely self starter must have been installed alongwith hand crank handle,

I’d love a rail car❤
Who turned on the mee-mool lights *(o)T(o)* ? Illegal. No.ne was towing a Port-o-let? How fun!
the guys waiting at the crossing were probably thinking: what is this that i am looking at and why am i looking at it?
its like realy cool man
Sandy all engines go
Nice
Beautiful spectacle and crossing. If the level crossing is manually controlled, the authorized employee should respond to a larger gap between the rails in good time and interrupt the warning for a short time to pass through the cars (the warning does not make a good impression). In the Czech Republic in Kamenický Šenov, the crossing (interlocking system) is also controlled manually and the alert there has always been interrupted between train passes.

Is the rail road car owned by an individual? I want to drive once. They are dream vehicles.
imagine one of those in a horror movie with some were wolf, and that's a get away vehicle, and your going top speed
