This is completely dependent on various factors. If Cooler still has the Big Gete Star, he would eventually win, as he'd continually come back cancelling out previous weaknesses. If it's a straight up fight between the 2 with no star 18 would have a decent fight but prevail. 18 would be fine fighting alone, but Cooler plays dirty & as seen in the movie, can multiply if that is what it takes to win.
@MIZUKAZE 18 isn't vastly stronger than Cooler. Remember, ssj Vegeta was actually pretty close to 18 in terms of power, but 18 still had the edge while also having infinite stamina. If Cooler is comparable to ssj Vegeta, he could capitalise on his regenerative abilities to become stronger and surpass 18. Only way I see 18 winning is if Cooler didn't have the Big Gete Star to support his regeneration. But that isn't likely, as Cooler would have the tactical sensibility to ensure the Big Gete Star is present.

Just remember, Goku crushed Final Form Cooler a lot easier than he defeated final form Frieza. It's arguable that Goku healed from the fight with frieza and became even stronger than before. However, he is still a lot weaker than the androids at this point. Cell, in any of his stages after absorbing human life, could destroy metal cooler easily. You guys are highly over estimating cooler. Even IF cooler was spared for a while to fight android 18, or even cell, then there's no way he could improve his speed and power enough to hurt them. The star only makes him better at defending himself, not increase his power level.

Final Form Cooler should have had a meta form. It makes more sense. Meta Cooler should be stronger than those androids, personally. Goku and Vegeta got lucky when they were captured, by overloading their power, otherwise, Cooler was wiping the floor with them.
Within an alternate timeline there does exist a specific point but it could occur within an alternate universe where events within the main series changed or didn't occur, an example of this could be from the first broly movie in which I believe takes place in which Vegeta and Trunks defeated Semi-Perfect Cell and because of this Goku and Gohan left the hyperbolic time chamber early, thus why Gohan is the weakest super saiyan, some movies can also take place after events of the series or movies.
Alternate timelines...the current events on the DB Universe happens also in the DB Movies Universe. There must be an exact moment when the movies occur. Also during the movies there are mentioned another movie's enemy for example in plan to erradicate all saiyans, goku mentions broly. Also, in DBGT appears Cooler when all enemies cames from hell. This indicates that GT is from the same universe than DB Movies

Don't forget as he's damaged the Star will repair him and that weakness will be outsted, meaning highspeed Regen that basically makes him stronger. For all intents and purposes, Metal cooler was practically an introduction to the Android Saga. One beat 2 SSJs, One lost to 2 SSJs. You do the math.
Wrong. Dende was the guardian of the earth in the meta cooler movie, so the movie takes place after goku masters ssj.
The body of metal-Cooler,become stronger when it is repaired...every times the metal body is reconstructed stronger than before.
I don't khnow if there's a limit of improvement,but in theory,Cooler should win...at the end,after multiple repairing,Cooler should become enough stronger to beat C-18.

Eh, I think Metal Cooler would have had the upper hand after his first regen. 18 was around the level of reunited Piccolo, but he wasn't THAT much stronger than SS Goku and Vegeta, who needed to double-team Cooler to kill him.

Meta Cooler should be stronger than those androids, personally. Goku and Vegeta got lucky when they were captured, by overloading their power, otherwise, Cooler was wiping the floor with them.

Within an alternate timeline there does exist a specific point but it could occur within an alternate universe where events within the main series changed or didn't occur, an example of this could be from the first broly movie in which I believe takes place in which Vegeta and Trunks defeated Semi-Perfect Cell and because of this Goku and Gohan left the hyperbolic time chamber early, thus why Gohan is the weakest super saiyan, some movies can also take place after events of the series or movies.

Normally, Piccolo was a whole lot weaker than android 17. They became nearly equal after Piccolo fused with Kami.
Alternate timelines...the current events on the DB Universe happens also in the DB Movies Universe. There must be an exact moment when the movies occur. Also during the movies there are mentioned another movie's enemy for example in plan to erradicate all saiyans, goku mentions broly. Also, in DBGT appears Cooler when all enemies cames from hell. This indicates that GT is from the same universe than DB Movies
