- the bugs were bad today but we moved the D7 4T caterpillar dozer with ease using the M816 military rotor wrecker known as the Green Toy. for close to 30 years we have move this D7 around and today it was done easily for the first time. the D7 was recovered across a frozen lake which was 37 miles from WHO-ville back in 1998. we did some crazy things in the past now it is time to work on the D7 known as Jack as part of a retirement project. my book "Cat Train Newsletters" tells about the adventure of recovering the D7 when the staff was an infant. amazon book link here www.amazon.com/dp/B08YWH9NVG also amazon has my 2nd book "life in the Kingdom" which was written in 2008 on for being free as an ebook from July 06-10 2024, please click on link below to enjoy. thansk

this is a daily updated channel from the Kingdom in Northern Manitoba Canada where every day is a struggle to survive in the new world we now live in. the life style of recycling, re-using, re-purposing plus living with no money is what the Kingdom has been all about for the last 28 years. we have been doing it long before it became a cool lifestyle. thansk

Interesting day fun too.
Moving stuff takes knowledge and talent.
Can't wait to see more on the moter tomorrow.
Thanks
Rick
thank you, finished up early tonight and loading up sunday's video as we speak(type), lol thansk
Now that's a load on the roto wrecker. But you did it just idling so as to not break anything. That engine will be a good project for all of us 🤘
yes don't get ramming like they do on TV, lol thansk
Green toy does wheelie like my fork lift 😊
yes slight weight problem on the front thansk
Optimism and ambition are alive and well in the kingdom, thanks for another interesting video !
yes can't sit still with lots to do thansk
Wheelies in a rotater truck. Yeehaw!
yes i am an expert you know, lol thansk
Jack screamed "no I don't wanna".
Stayin tuned! 👍🤠
yes, it is the only life he knows getting dragged this way then back over this way, lol thansk

Great footage of The [Green] Toy at work! Good machine, Very Good operator. The wheelstand action when the Cummins was ‘hunting’ in a couple of scenes was pretty Cool to get on film. Wow, Jack has some some ‘scars’. Good and interesting project. Thank You and The Staff.
yes tough M816 to survive life in the service then to be abused during Hollywood film that never aired. now enjoying the good life in the Kingdom. thansk
I'm thinking that Jack had a rough life... I think that push-rod was busted from before you had it, Joey. Running break, as you say. That is one hurt engine!
And also, wow, that's quite the bent track pad. Not sure if they were trying to go over a boulder and bent the pads, or Jack dropped down on something hard ... a lot of TLC will be needed to get it in running shape.
yes jack had a very rough life and hopefully i can get him up and going to enjoy a retirement like me, lol thansk
King🤴, I am really looking forward to seeing Jack up and running. I bought a 1990 Kalmar 40k forklift. It has a perkins diesel engine. Enclosed cab with AC. It needs a lot of work, but I got a great deal. A big company sold it for scrap price. They told me it was worn out. It only has 4700 hours on it ! So that will be my next project. Talk to you later.
I wish you great luck with that project. I would pass along more words of encouragement, but the only thing I know well about Perkins motors, is that a lot of guys don't like them and will turn their backs on a Perkins in a heartbeat. I'm not a Perkins guy, know very little about them. I'm not for, nor against them, just have so little experience with them.
oh my, you will be living the good life, lol thansk
Thank you for the video
your welcome thansk
Looking good from Michigan 😎
thank you, just having fun thansk
I just love the motivation to get these old machines running very cool 👍 will you guys be taking a break this summer to do any fishing? 🎣 🇺🇸🇨🇦
thank you, we just keep on working away. not sure about fishing, the bugs are extra bad this year. thansk
I've used aluminum plates for years. Two replace The clutch Links On my d7 7m an 3t cat Works great and won't Rot or come up to the floor board. Or Tear your starter, Bendix off.
yes on a quick google search i seen the newer design, will have to water the money tree, lol thansk
Yes smile & wave cheers Joey 😊😊😊
plus have a drink too thansk

Who knew the King was racing the roto truck . Did you see them wheelies ?
yes fun times at the end of the world even the mosquitos enjoyed the wheelies too, lol thansk
Gomez is really coming along
yes and just waiting for parts. thansk
Temp western Oregon 😊

Good morning from Cape Cod ⛵ you mentioned the caterpillar weighs more than the loader, holy crap! Watching you move the caterpillar with the roto wrecker proves you really do know what you're doing 👍 I like the pictures of it back in the day taken by Xena and now filmed by the same Xena. Some very nice memories guys 👍 I can't believe the price of food you guys have to pay for up there in whoville, that's the world we live in, prices out here are outrageous also.Just when I was getting interested the damn video ended 😭 I'm excited to see this caterpillar being brought back from the dead 👍 if this one doesn't get running I'm throwing the phone through the window 😂 I was very disappointed with the V12 GMC engine, yeah I know if I want to see one run go buy one myself 😂 it's always a pleasure to see your videos each and every morning guys 👍✌️🇺🇲🇨🇦
yes the D7 4T is a heavy cat and too heavy to go winter freighting so no holes in the track pads. i would just once like to find a project that does not have big dramas and problems like my ex-wifes. oh well pop the motor and see what can we do. the V-12 should have been sold 20 years ago to some one building a rat rod which Sir Rodney did for me. that was one obsolete project that needed a good home. thansk
Dickie's such a ....😊
?😊
yes he is, lol thansk
Excellent guys cheers 🥂 😊think & fix a ha moments beers & cheers 🥂 😊

You used every bit of the skookum that was built into the green toy………cool! Does the big winch on the back of the toy work?
yes worked smarter and let the D7 4T roll and come when it wanted. never even bothered with the big winch on the back because no way to keep the Green Toy from rolling back. thansk
Mint

100 to day they were off by 10 dg f 😊
just a minor detail, lol thansk
Hi Mr. King of Obsolete. I commented as the 2nd one. But it's not here. ben/ michigan
oh well but you are here now, lol thansk
Make up jack evening ok next morning u know 😊😊
will do thansk
That audible rod knock sounds expensive. What broke the push rods? Hydrolock or jumped timing? Or? Just like JS1960, staying tuned😎
yes all minor details when Elon Musk phones in his credit card to Sir Rodney then everything can be repaired, lol thansk
Yes, gotta stay tuned!
👍🤠
That was sketchy with a capital S!
we forgot to say "hold my beer" before filming began thansk
You can call the grader a Pig with Lipstick on it😂
yes that is another way to put it. thansk
u will bend those push rods if them cups were rusted trust me ive done it
yes what i did 15 years ago i paying for it now, lol thansk
Been looking forward to a REAL job for the Green Toy.
Joey , Gomez is one heck of a project, hats off to you and “The Staff” for making it happen!!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
What A TREAT! Commented before actually seeing the Green Toy WORKING! That winch is STOUT! “O” I bet that was a GOOD TIME.

not close, lol thansk
Wondering why you didn't use another cat to move Jack?
the cat would chew up the hard packed ground and find more and more rocks. only took use 20 years to figure it out thansk
That's awesome back when you where a professional drinker
yes it was not a good career move either, lol thansk
