- Her amazing birthday reaction brought us to tears! Abbie always gets so excited when people sing Happy Birthday. She gets even more excited when they do it for her. We went couch shopping and assembled IKEA furniture in record time. Isaiah had a birthday balloon mishap.

I teared up with this one. My asd 5 year is also obsessed with birthdays. This June was the first time she realized, truly noticed that it was all about her. She's always wanting to blow other people's candles.... Same with the birthday song... She just lights up. We are very fortunate that all of our family will re-light candles and let blow them out or will have her sit with them so she can help.

I started crying right along with you guys when mom was talking about the "unicorn" picture. I have a daughter with special needs and she's the same way, never looks at the camera for a picture, always looking down or away or doesn't sit still for it. We relish in the little things with our daughter so that part really hit home for me.
We love Abbie and her personality!! At :07 when you called her name and she responded with the most teenage sounding "whaaaat"...you could almost hear the eye roll. 😂😂 LOVED IT!!

@ 16:41 I started to cry a little because I’ve noticed in some vlogs Abbie gets moments like these, when she looks like that young, pretty teenage girl. without all her difficulties and disabilities that she has to deal with every day. Its like you see the girl she should be able to be and it makes me sad. But then I get happy again because I know she’s got the absolute best family in the world that truly love her with all their heart! I know I’m late but Happy bday kiddo!!
