Henry is an autistic man with epilepsy and ADHD. Throughout his life, he was told that he will never amount to anything. His fiancé, Tiarra, is diagnosed with ADHD and anxiety. She has dealt with the same negativity. Together they are focused on creating a home filled with peace and love, free from the abuse they both experienced beforehand.

ADHD woman here, married to a wonderful autistic man. We’re expecting our first child, a girl, in November. Life is so good. I found someone who loves and understands me, and vice versa.

I went to HS with Henry, and just celebrated our 20 year reunion. I'm glad he has found a life partner.

She is just cute as a button her wee voice is just angelic. Beautiful couple who seem to just balance and help each other through their daily challenges. When they are just sat there laughing together the whole room lit up you can just see the love and respect they have for each other and that is what life is all about. Henry is absolutely amazing, I love his positive outlook on life and just his inner belief in improving and striving to better himself.
I truly love this channel. As a father of a young autistic boy it really pleases me to see the respect and interest you show everyone and just the platform you give people with disabilities to tell their story to us which allows us to understand and improve ourselves. Henry, lots of women would be very grateful for such a caring husband, partner or boyfriend as you. You care with everything you have, but also know when to ask for help. That's a real man right there. And as a musician & singer myself, I don't say things like this to just anyone, but you have a real gift with your trumpet. I could listen to you for hours.
Tiarra, you're sweet & kind. You appreciate the simple things in life, peace, love, working as a team, etc. Not many people take the time to just notice things like this. But I'm glad you take time to enjoy these things. And I can tell you must be great with kids. Those kids are blessed to have you help them grow & learn.

I am audhd and my partner is autistic, and so are many family members. These two are so relatable, but like they always say, if you've met one neurodivergent person, you've met one neurodivergent person! We all have different needs and accommodations. This is something I wish I understood as a kid. Things could've been a lot easier. I could've given myself so much more grace and patience and the energy spent on working so hard to fit in could've been used to help those around me. I wish them all the best!! Whenever you interview autistic people, I get so emotional, because I’m also autistic but I don’t have a diagnosis and I relate to every single thing they say. The meltdowns, the hiding in public, feeling different than anyone else, all of it. And the expressing yourself through music or creatively. It’s hard to be different.

Chris, I love that you brought up the idea that sometimes autism in women looks different than in men including women having a diagnosis of ADHD. I don’t know if it would help her to see a doctor and find out if she has high functioning autism or not. I do feel like they are a good Couple and I loved hearing their story. Thank you for sharing.
Some studies suggest that most autistic women also have ADHD.
They speak with more sense than a lot of so called "normal" people. FR...FR

Henry is so likeable and his fiance is as well. So pleased you have featured them. I have worked with autistic children and those with ADHD. Adored all of them. I see myself on the autistic spectrum, and understand.

Thank you for doing an interview with an adult who appears who have low support needs with their Autism. This is not recognized enough and the damage it does to autistic people, especially late diagnosed autistic people, when they hear “you’re not autistic, you can talk/make eye contact/have reciprocal conversations/etc” all the time is not talked about. I LOVE that you brought up autism in women to Tiarra too! As a late diagnosed autistic woman with ADHD (diagnosed as a child for the ADHD) I see a lot of similarities in myself and it was interesting/helpful to hear their perspectives. They are such a cute couple, I love them so much!
Right people be saying stuff like that and that's because they aren't educated and aware and accepting but who cares about those people who can't take the time to learn and understand us because we are human just like anybody else and there's nothing wrong with a late diagnosis and there are positive support for people like all of us but please do not ever support autism speaks that's a big no no
Henry and Tiarra sure do complement each other! What a great couple. Tiarra's smile and laugh and Henry's trumpet playing just filled me with such joy! And while I don't have autism, I sure can relate to what Henry was saying about being distracted and forgetful. It can be very stressful and upsetting.

Having watched this channel for so many years has taught me that those of us who are labeled "normal" or "functional" actually have a lot to learn from people like these. People who are usually not treated fair by society. We need to stop a little and learn from the way they experience the world. They can appreciate things we take for granted.
