The ten dollar hotel really did not seem bad at all for the price.
He played it up for content but it fine if you are young or to drunk to go home.
I think Chris and Connor have been to love hotels that were worse than that.

The cheap hotel was perfectly fine for it's price, it's clearly meant to be a place to stay for people in a pretty remote area and it's not focused on luxury but has everything you need to survive somewhat comfortably

I've stayed in far worse places than the cheap place and sometimes paid more for it. I was a student and broke and happy these places exist because they helped me travel and see the world on a low budget.
i was thinking that to tbh the guy wasnt hovering over them and if you have a car you will likely spent most of the time out anyways

That $10 hotel is still nicer than a few hotels I have stayed at before. I’d happily sleep there for $10. I’ve paid over $100 for a night at a hotel that smelled of mold and mildew, my sinuses were trying to kill me. And there may have been some unsavory deals going on a few doors down. Talk about fake reviews.
Oh yeah here in america a 100 dollar hotel is in usually worse condition. Mold, dirt, bugs ect. Sometimes lucky to have cable or a ac in the room xD

Honestly, spending $10 for a functioning bed, in a semi-reasonable room, that happens to have a TV, a closet, AND internet!? They stock manga too!?
Realistically, I'd feel like I was robbing the owner at that price. I've tried sleeping in a moving truck while traveling long ass distances, and during those times, I'd GLADLY pay 5 times that price for the same room. Sometimes you just need a place to rest at.

The first hotel is basically a hostel. It wasn't that bad.
Even better than a hostel because it's not 12 people to a room
At first I wondered if it was originally accommodation for temporary farmhands but if all you need is to get out of the elements so you can sleep, then it looked great.
My only real concern if the building is full of people plugging in and charging their devices, the electrics looked dubious at best. It would warm the place up though.
compared to the one chris and cannur went to, this one is great.
although i gotta say it should at least have a communal shower.
The hotel for 10 bucks wasnt that bad honestly. There was not rats, bed bugs, mice, or roaches. There was even wifi. A decent place to sleep is all one could ask for. Hopefully the expensive hotel lives up to its name. It does. It definitely does. I loved the onsen & the black kitchen 😭 the backyard was so nice. I love a big yard and a woodsy area. That hotel was luxury. Just insane. Also, having ur own chef? I'm jealous. Good chefs can just make good food. The only place I've been to relatively close was Japanese Village & the chef there made some good shrimp. I never eat shrimp because I don't like seafood but that was something else. Some people can just make food ur not used to eating taste really good. Takes a lot of skill. But yeah, I'm happy you guys got to experience that lovely dinner, the mountain, the hotel, the onsen, just awesome, and thank-you for sharing as well. I love the mountains 💓

The $10 hotel got high scores because honestly, for $10 a night that hotel looks pretty fantastic. Over here, the $10 hotels are by the hour and you definitely will come out of staying there feeling icky and needing a bath.

Not gonna lie, for $10 that was a pretty bangin' deal. I mean, what would one really expect for $10? You have a bed, a roof, and the place doesn't look infested with anything. That right there is worth the price to stay for 15-17 hours.
Joey kept knocking the place, and I kept trying to figure out what the punchline was, because I'd stay in a hotel like that for $10 any day of the week.
His comments were disappointing and reeks of elitism.
Seriously, I mean, think about it, how much time do you actually spend in your hotel when you're on holiday??? Basically, it's just somewhere to sleep, I don't see the point of spending a fortune on a room. I'd rather have money to spend in the area I'm visiting, than a bed to sleep in!
@shaylatorch Most hotels cost 100 bucks a day and most people stay there when either on vacation or visiting, so most people stay in them for around a week, if I had to guess, so they would be spending 700 just by staying in one without anything extra, this hotel is literally 1/10 of that cost

There's certainly people that rent it out in low numbers for the feeling of room. Much like rich people that buy a huge ranch where they use maybe 3 rooms there. But probably splitting is what most people do(I split when I can even though the hotels I stay at are under 100/night with 2-4 others)
I'm not quite sure, I believe the reason for the multiple beds was so that you could put different body parts of your victim in each bed so they don't accidentally grow back together and run off during the night

connor stayed in a smaller, moldier and worse bedroom for 60 dollars, it had blood, bugs and didnt even have any of the other things that this one does like internet and tv, the guy got some major L this time

@@ravenwraith1017 if ur asking about my country then it's pakistan. i went on a tour and a few of hotels i stayed in were dirty as SHIT, the sink water was saltier than the seven seas, no ac even though it's hot as balls over there, bug infestation that's continued to haunt my nightmares, mattress and sheets had stains all over them, the list can probably go on. granted there's definitely a few good hotels, but they're still not going to be the best bc of how poor pakistan is lol (blame the government 👎) BUT nonetheless it is a very pretty country despite the corruption

$10 for that first room is amazing. It's private, huge beds that offer the bedding for free, a window, and the view is actually gorgeous; I've stayed in hostels shared with 20 other people that were cramped and crowded, loud, and I paid twice as much and had to bring my own bedding to share a bunk bed with a stranger... Welp, another beloved CZcamsr bites the relatability dust.
I think he just lacks perspective for that 10$ a night hotel. He might think its a scam but for anyone backpacking (Traveling by alternative means) or for students on holiday, its perfect.

Wonderful to see that a japanese luxury hotel uses finnish craftsmanship in their kitchen. I also heard that some finnish clothing brands like Marimekko are blowing up in Japan. I love this weird connection between Finland and Japan
Finland has Moomin and Marimekko , Santa claus and northern lights. Those are the reasons Japanese people come here for, or used to come before Covid.
Personally, I'd love to experience both - the raw authenticity of the cheaper stay and the luxurious uniqueness of the pricier one.

Apart from the location, the $10 one isn't too bad. I've paid more for worse. One of them wouldn't let me take the key out of the hotel, I had to call them to let me back in.

For a hotel "room" of that size, if they say it fits 10 people, that works out to about $1000 per person which isn't that much for extremely luxuary accomodation. I'd say its fairly reasonably priced.

Aki and Joey's reactions to the amazing sushi is so good haha XD My sister and I found an incredible Japanese restuarant in melbourne here (AUS), we ordered some sashimi as a side thinking it'd be fine - it was legit one of the best sashimi/food I had ever eaten (seriously their tuna) and im sure we both had the same expressions haha.

also considering the resort is clearly designed for large groups, it's actually not too badly priced, a group of 5 people would only need to pay 2K each - and if you have 10, it's only 1K each, that's not too bad considering how incredible it was

@@Hoppitot Bearing in mind it's likely designed for special events; I would say that if, for example, you were celebrating something like a wedding with your friends and all chip in for accomodations it's kinda worth, especially considering what you get with it.
It's definitely not something to stay in for more than a singe day, but for a special event i can see it being not that bad. Shame i'll never have the money to do something like that regardless lol

The green text above aki. Did you know the human eye responds better to shades of bright green than any other colour? Also, aki is hot, so maybe that's what you're talking about
The only reason I wouldn't stay at the $10 hotel is because it is too far away from the places I wanna be at. But aside from that I would gladly take it over the 10k one. Sure it looks nice, but for me it's waaaay over the top (and I ain't even talking about the price). It's to the point where it makes me feel uncomfortable.

I never felt drawn to luxurious Hotels and resorts of any kind. I always feel like I don't belong there. When I'm somewhere luxurious, I don't dare to move much or touch things.
So while the resort looks utterly beautiful and relaxing, I think $10 Hotel would suit me better. Can't defile things that are already decrepit for as long as it's clean.
I at first thought the $10, 000 hotel was that one building with multiple rooms, but I was mind blown to learn that the building IS the hotel room??!!

Tbh, out of the you 3 Connor did the best job in his voice over. You and Garnt sound out of place in space Russia. That said... the 10 USD hotel still looks better than some of the hotels Connor took Chris to and the 10k USD hotel looks beyond overkill, while it's nice I doubt I'd spend that much on a hotel. You could get a really good hotel and pay for some luxury stuff to the side.
I've heard of the $1 hotel in Japan, idk if its still there though. It was $1 (or yen equivalent) but you had to livestream from your room. It made money because of ad revenue on CZcams or at least that was the idea.
There is one in Osaka do it for just 1yen . You have to have 10k followers on Twitter or something like that and tweet out you actually went there.

That first cheap location is stunningly similar to a place in a drama I'm watching called Bad and Crazy. One where some criminals have been staying and that shows up multiple times in the show. Small double-story rectangular building with nature all around and a single road leading to it.

I've stayed in worse places for more than 10$. And that view was actually nice. If you're claustrophobic and don't like being penned in by buildings like in some of the love hotels that you guys review (where you open the window and just get the building next to yours within touching distance), that's honestly not bad at all. Bring a sleeping bag and you're good to go.
