- Frank Stapleton was the player manager at Huddersfield Town when they were the visitors at Spotland for this FA cup match. 8mm Sony camcorder video of this cracking match. Rochdale won the first half and Huddersfield piled on the pressure in the 2nd.

MrDazp Thanks for posting this video. After time you forget what it was really like watching football back in the day. Top job
I used to go home and away in the 1990's watching the Dale
A good old fashioned FA Cup tie, back when the FA Cup was the best Cup competition "in the World"
It was a cracking match Steven
First away game ! Remember it well . 2-1 win .always remember how shite the floodlights were . Four torches would have been better
Rochdale had a good team then and I recall Frank Stapleton being player manager .
Passion commitment and determination.
Well it's 2017 and The Dale play Huddersfield in the cup again. Both teams are flying high this season so "Come on The Dale"
great game , passion , commitment UP THE DALE KHBA
It was a great game Stephen
Field won but it was a game of 2 halves. Great match.
Cheers buddy I amend my info.
Despite what it says about Rochdale winning, they in fact lost.
Quite a few shots looked like they went in when intact they hit the side netting
Frank Stapleton was never player-manager of Huddersfield Town, he played for them, but never managed them.
I thought he was player manager
@@MrDazP1adv3ntures Nope, Huddersfield only ever had one P/M, that was our very first boss, Fred Walker, back in the 1900’s…
its a shame players nowadays dont do this 6:27
It is a different game nowadays Edward
