This was a great tutorial. Thank you for sharing this. I was ready to pony up the cash when I couldn't find proper replacement parts for my light.

Glad it helped, if it can give you a new lease of life to your lights then that's quite a few €£$ quid saved 👌

Cheers Phillip, I like making them but most of the time it's just routine bike maintenance stuff in the Bike shed.
However, my 1x11 chain, cassette and chain ring are about to become totally worn out so I could look at doing a video on that and I will be increasing the gearing slightly from a 38T on the front to a 42T
      👍

Great little informative video, daz. We are all to quick to throw things out or replacing it father than trying to fix it

This turned out to be a really good fix and both lights are still working 100%. If I get another season out of them I will be more than happy. It would be about £180 to buy new.

Hi Carl, I am still working my way through videos and stuff from last year in May, but rest assured I will get there in the end. Thanks for asking buddy. Hopefully the weather will change soon and I will be able to get out to a few rivers I want to prospect. I have been doing a lot of peering over bridges on the bike rides, looking at rivers lol...

That light must be worth fixing, probably cost more than my last two bikes😉

It is always nice to make something work Terry rather than throw it away.
I had both units fitted to the bike this evening on the commute home and they were working spot on with the new nyloc nut insert.

@@MrDazP1adv3ntures I am the worst bike mechanic but every now and then I have 1/2 an hour of inspiration and can sort out a front derailleur on a £20 pound road bike I have in my garage , it is now worth £21.😃👍
