    I too am in my 60's have done woodworking on and off through the years. As I get closer to at least a semi retirement I'm starting to make wood chips again. I am In the process of updating and buying some new tools. I have already built some small kitchen items. Love working with live edge slabs and reclaimed wood. My problem has always been getting my items in front of enough people to really feel like it could ever be a viable part time business. Just want you to know that your video on the Facebook Market Place has been the biggest help that I have received after pouring through tons of CZcams videos.I will defiantly be taking action on this knowledge you have imparted. I can't wait to go through all your videos and maybe shorten my learning curve. Best of luck in your endeavors.

      Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad you found some value. The hardest part (mentally), at least for me was just deciding to put my stuff out there for the big bad public to see. It gets much easier the more you do it. I wish you the best. Keep me informed with how it's going!

    question for you... do you believe you could of done this for a living full time possibly and started a small business? It truely is my goal and im in the stages of building my own business doing custom art/woodworking projects. I have a unique style that I have yet to see anywere else so I'm just going to see were it takes me.

    • @RonniesWorkshop
      @RonniesWorkshop  Před rokem +1

      Hey Nate, thanks for stopping by. I believe if I was motivated to make woodworking a full-time business I could. That's just the way I'm wired. I had a career in the Postal Service so now that I'm retired, I choose to make woodworking, creating apps, creating woodworking plans, running a CZcams channel, etc... a "part-time" job, lol. I'd hate to see what I make per hour with all this. But I enjoy it and that's what motivates me. Find your motivation. If you love doing your custom woodworking, I say go for it. And, here's the deal from someone who has a lot of years behind him. Even if that doesn't work out, you won't someday look back and wish you would have given it a shot. Trust me, Don't let fear of failure hold you back. So, I'll turn the question around... do YOU want to make woodworking a full-time business? And if so, how badly do you want it? Only you can answer. I wish you all the success you strive for. Get after it and see what happens!

      I've been doing it full time since I started my website in 2004. This year it will be 20 years. It wasn't easy but is doable if you love what you do and don't mind living in poverty. I'm still doing it. Some days are better than others.

    This is my first video of yours in watching, you referenced a ton of other videos so my personal take away is not that great. Why not combine the pertinent info to the video your currently doing? I hate having to search for referenced material.

      @@RonniesWorkshop could you tell me how do you search for sold items on FB marketplace? On my phone also when you say in the video there's a card with the link to the x bracing that doesn't show up on my phone or smart TV when I cast it.

    • @RonniesWorkshop
      @RonniesWorkshop  Před 8 měsíci +1

      I search for similar items I am wanting to sell and see what is posted and the pricing. I think cards don't show up on phones. Links to other videos are in the description. I just added the X bracing one.

    • @RonniesWorkshop
      @RonniesWorkshop  Před 2 lety

      Hi michael, I price along the lines of the competition in my area. I actually usually price just a bit higher. I can do that because I take the time to stage the piece and get great photos. Thanks for stoppin by!

    • @RonniesWorkshop
      @RonniesWorkshop  Před 2 lety

      CZcams is showing ads on channels that are not monetized yet. I'm not eligible to get monetized at this time. So the ads you see are generated by CZcams and they get all the ad revenue.

But I didn't try to boost the post, I'll try and yes I posted on fb groups. It seems like fb doesn't approve the post even tho it doesn't go against the policies obviously or maybe I'm randomly shadow banned
